I honestly think they did a really good job with this. I don't have much play time but what I have played is incredible. Story Mode is a lot more like a story mode and the conquest is one of the best modes ever. Free mode will be missed and will most likely be added later on through DLC. Best DW since 4 and 5.

i agree DW7 is the best one in quite a while. The series has a spot on my shelf because it offers so many ways to play, in terms of moves and fighting styles.
I wish conquest mode was alittle bit different tho, i flew through that pretty quick. I think a good improvement would be to add a little marker to show what difficulties you have beaten it on like in the orochi games because as of right now, there are no real benifits to beat it on legendary as compared to beginner.
The weapon system is really nice. I still love orochi2's more but this is definatly 2nd best system yet.
BEST thing about dw7: Lian Shi heart d-a-m-n. too good for sun quan
Worst thing about dw7: the new "more accurate" pronunciations of names. I only played WU story so far and sounds like someone getting kicked in the nuts when they try to say sun ce.

After the fail thas was dynasty warriors 6 this is a incredibly a massive improvement.
The only thing i hope for is a DW7 empires with as many territories as conqeust mode because that would be epic.

LOL.
Totally agree with the name pronunciation thing :'P I'd just about gotten used to 'Tsao Tsao' and then they go and throw all these 'Sun suh's and 'Sun chwen's. I know it's supposed to be an accurate pronunciation but I don't see why they couldn't carry on saying them how they riginally had xDD
Also, definitely the best one in a LONG time <3 My favourite DW until this one was 4, by far. But I think this one has took my heart. LOL. I love how accurate it is. Like you say though - I miss Free Mode. A LOT.
