I've had this question about Christianity for a while now. I have a good friend who is like the most Christian person I have ever met, he always seems so happy and is singing 24/7. I ask him the same question every once and a while, why? What motivates and enlightens him so much that he never questions his faith, even when sometimes his beliefs are just silly. I am firm in the belief that even if God were real i gladly choose hell if it were for a moral cause, I don't see how eternal salvation is so important to you people.

So as Christians, what is it that empowers your love of God, is it purely faith, some philosophical grounds that God is worth fighting for, or is it just something that I am completely missing out on because I refuse to call out to God for his grace?

its Faith for me. i belive in God with my whole heart. i've seen his healing powers at work. would you liek to here the story? at Church camp, there was a girl with a broken foot on chruches, someone said "lets take the cast off and pray for it", we praid for her broken foot, and she walked out of the chruch.

and then, i have a condition which causes severe stomach pains, and one day i was crying so much. and my family praid for me, and a wave of relief came over me.

my concept of eternal punishment isnt the same as others but the reason for my belief can not be summed so easily in a internet disccusiion theres so much to write i doubt you would read it so i'll throw in what i can .

He is my father and as such has kept me intent with my life, i don t need the newest thing or lots of money to be happy i have learned to be happy were i am (his word has tought me this), i would rather live for all eternity with a he who is "just" knowing that his plans will work out for all man kind not for ones self desires.

Christianity isnt so easly observed like fish in an aquarime most people only see the outside of christian happeness but it is who dwells within that trully changes us.

I see through my studies (and i have spent my life studying im almost 30 this year) that no matter what proof i have or rational argument it will not persuade the hearts of man this is a job for the holy spirit.

As far as silly beliefs there is so many denominations something is bound to be silly and different between them all and thats not what makes them a christian. I know a denomination that wont baptise you unless you get rid of your wedding rings.

Faith that have increased over the years. I've been in situations where there was no way out (some of the mstakes, wrongs, errors etc. in my life) or escape and the way was provided for me, I'm still alive, I'm not in prison and I still have good health, none of these situation happen by chance. GOD is so real to me, more so then the air I breath, but can not see. I love the relationship and I will always acknowledge the love he has for me.
