So chapter #533 is out now and this is to discussion the latest chapter.
I thought it was a pretty good chapter that was filled with emotion. I feel bad for Choji, even when Asuma tried to use words to anger him and get Choji to fight, he still couldn't do it. I like the earring idea where they are symbols of adulthood and how they change once you reached a new level, such as Chunnin.
Aw, we saw some flash backs of Choji and his dad when Choji was little and talked about the oath and it looks like Kurenai had her baby, don't know if it is a girl or boy though or the baby's name.
Looks like Choji took some ninja pills, the like the ones he took to fight one of the sound four ninja during the Retrieve Sasuke arc. What do you think will happen this time?

Personally I think this gives Chouji a much needed character boost. Ranking wise he is probably considered the weakest of all the Konoha generation and this gives him some much needed time in the spotlight. I'm glad to see that he's actually had trouble with his emotions and over-come them (As Shikamaru already did that in battle with Hidan) instead of being textbook ninja cold straight off. Hopefully this means he will now fight an awesome fight.
I still love Tenten's face when she found the Banana fan. She is so epic heart

Agreed. I liked how the they developed his character as well as team 10 and shows that though they are ninja, they still have emotions.
Yeah, I LOL at the part where Tenten found the fan. I was wondering what happened to it.

Thus proving that it IS canon that Tenten is a weapons whore. xd (and making Team Gai just a bit more deadly...)
I loved how he dealt with Chouji. It was reminiscent of what Asuma had said when he originally died and kept to what happened during the rescue Sasuke arc. Emotions are a heavy issue, and I'm glad that one of the things Kishi is touching base on in this arc is how difficult it is to fight loved ones, even when you know that they're already dead. And it's not like normal zombie movies where the characters are completely wiped of who they used to be. This is really making this one of my favorite arcs in a long while.
Though seeing Kurenai with her baby is making me wonder how much time has passed. Because I thought she was only about six months along or so right now o_o

If you noticed, his dad said "Chouji... You grew wings without taking the pills" in the top left panel on page 17.... So, apparently all the pills do is bring this innate ability out, I'm guessing?
And on the note of Tennie, I approve completely. XD
