Of course, what would be a farm without it's farmhouse? Sitting right next to the flower field, where the sweet smell and occasional bee can come in through the window, is the Hipp's farmhouse. Like for the rest of the previous farm, they had completely destroyed the old house that was there to build another one.... a rather large one, but eh, farm people aim for big families, no? That must be why that house has three bedroom on the first floor and 5 on the second one. There is also two bathroom, because, if this house was to get full, they would need two bathroom! One on each floor, obviously. The kitchen and the dining room is quite large, at the request of Talna, who spends a good 4hours a day cooking, and another 4hour doing the laundry (by hand, of course) outside, where three clothes lines stands. Oh, as far the living room, it is actually quite small, mostly because neither of them have time to waste doing nothing in a living room. There is a small TVset that works with antenna and is in black and white. They rarely use it other than to check the forecast. The whole house is heated in fall and winter by two large fireplace, hence the firewood storage in the back of it.

Honestly, Alex should have just started locking River up in her room long ago. It seemed that every time she did anything, it ended up biting him in the a**. And he was very close to locking her up forever and ever and ever~ when he had heard that she had volunteered him for a goddamn auction. He wasn't an end table or something, that could just be handed off to the highest bidder! Worst of all, Zhi wouldn't let him withdraw. And it wasn't like he could just not show up. According to Zhi, the woman who won had done so for a hundred dollars. And for a hundred bucks, he had an obligation to show. And so he was here, standing in front of this nauseatingly sweet looking house, to meet Talna Hipp for a date, or something. Speaking of which, what the ******** kind of name was Talna Hipp?
The house was a little big for a single woman, so Alex wondered if there were any other... Hipp's... as he stepped up onto the porch. All of a sudden he felt like he had been transported to the deep south. Seriously, if this Talna wore a petticoat or spoke in a southern accent, he couldn't promise he wouldn't laugh. But that would be rude, so he pushed any thoughts of Scarlett O'Hara out of his head (to prevent himself from jinxing himself or anything) and knocked firmly on the door.

Yet another day inside the Hipp farmhouse – Talna had risen at dawn, just an hour before Turner even stirred in bed so she could get breakfast started for the man. From then, she washed the dishes, swept and mopped the floors, made the beds, fed and hugged the chickens, went to stand awkwardly in front of her now frosty flower patch for an hour or two, then came back inside to see if she could squeeze in the laundry before – ah, someone was here! She frowned as she entered through the back door, looking longingly over to her pair of laundry baskets just waiting to be washed, dried, ironed, and put away~ Oh, well, it seemed like she would have to go do her wifely duty of greeting the guests. She sighed in disappointment before patting her dress free of any dust or dirt it could have gathered doing the chores and.. right onto the floors! Oh, no! She couldn't have that! She stood conflicted for the next few seconds, staring at what certainly would be a horrible mess at her feet, while whoever was at the door was obviously waiting for a greeting. What was more important for her? More dutiful?
“Ya come right on in – it's unlocked!” She cried out from the kitchen, hoping that her voice would have made it through the wooden door and out to the porch. She couldn't stand there to find out, though, as she went to go fetch her broom and dust pan to get that horrible, horrible mess up as soon as can be! It should be noted that Talna was used to shouting for Turner to come inside for lunch and dinner – a voice that was already trained to rang out over the entirety of the farm so he couldn't have an excuse no matter where he was to be late for lunch and supper. Whoever was on the porch could easily hear her with that in consideration, not that Talna took it into mind as she fretted with getting the kitchen swept up again before anyone could see the mess.

Alex slipped his hands into his pockets and glanced around at the porch. It was surprisingly clean for a porch. The longer he stood there, the nicer the house seemed, and... No. No. He should stop, before he started feeling... domestic. Thankfully, a woman's voice soon called out from inside the house, catching his attention. The front door was open? Yup, placing his hand on the door knob confirmed that the door was indeed unlocked? Alex frowned. Who the hell just left their front door unlocked, and didn't even bother to see who was waltzing into their home? Things had been calm this year, but what about last year and all of those burglaries? This woman was a moron.
Still, she did say to come in, and so Alex entered the house. He was not pleased to see it was even worse on the inside. The woman wasn't in the living room, but Alex stayed in the entryway. "Yeah, I'm Alex Park, from the White Day thing," he called back into the house, looking around for this Talna woman. Seriously, who just let people wander into their houses like this?

Ah, that dust was off the floor before Alex could even see a speck of it! But, now that she had started sweeping, she couldn't help to start doing the whole floor~ It was so.. relaxing! Talna could hardly help herself when she had a broom and dustpan in hand, smiling brighter with each repetitive motion.. But, the man had come inside the house and, before she could even think of grabbing the mop to re-do the kitchen, she heard him speak. A longing sigh escaped her lips as she realized she would have to be the good host and drop her fun for later. She set the broom against the wall and walked through the small living room to look at the man she had welcomed in. ..Oh, my. He seemed so.. tall! Taller than Turner by.. oh, by almost a foot! She frowned fretfully as she studied his height, slowly continuing her stride forward before ending it just before him with another sigh. He was more than a foot taller than her..
“Well, shoot, this ain't no good! Yer taller than one of 'em palm trees.” She commented before even introducing herself, but, well, she was disappointed! She shook her head, “Happy ta meet ya, Alex – Talna Hipp.” She said to save that little mistake earlier, but her 'happy' didn't really reach her face as she continued to look at him in dismay. She motioned to the living room with one hand, “Suppose ya can take a seat right o'er there – like some tea or coffee?” She threw over her shoulder while she turned and headed back into the kitchen to get some hot water brewing. Too tall or not, she still had to treat him like a guest!

Normally, Lily wouldn't have went to visit someone who had just moved on the island, but this was a different mater! Talna was from the island! She had moved away and now she had came back! Ah! What a wonderful day today was! Rejoice! Trumpets! Clarion! Horn! Let the whole world know that today was a day to celebrate! SOMEONE CAME BACK TO THE ISLAND LIKE OMG. The last time that had happen was over five years ago! She was happy, which is why she left a huge fruit salad with a chocolate dip next to it for her! She would have given her turnips but that wasn't in her department. That was orchid's job. Next to her plate was a skyblue envelope.
"Talna! I am so happy you and your husband came back to the island! I know you are a perfect house wife and I would have loved to give you something better, but since you just moved back... there's a limit to what I am allowed to do. While you are her, you should find the tim to meet some of the new inhabitants of the island like Freja or Amanda! Oh, and you hould visit your extended family members like Gladice and Alanis... what's your relation with Alanis? Third cousin once removed? Ah... I prefer not to think about it, it'll give me a headache. Anyhow, welcome back to the island. I'm happy you are here. Come visit the shrine once in a while!"

If Alex had any faith in his luck, it would have been crushed the moment alna came out from the kitchen. Not only was she small and kind of plain, she fit the house way too well. Even worse? She was visibly disappointed. Alex's face was pulled into a perplexed frown as she commented on his height. What the hell was wrong with his height? Sure, he was a little tall, but that was perfectly acceptable for a guy! A positive thing, actually! But before he could protest, she introduced herself, though she didn't look any happier. "Err, thank you, but just water's fine..." Why did he feel like he was burdening her by being there? It made him tense. So he decided to just do as she said, and backed up over to sit on the couch quietly. As he sat there, he glanced around the house and dug at his brain to come up with something to say. Anything, anything... "You have a nice home," he said to her in the kitchen, hoping she could hear him. Or maybe not. He hated lame smalltalk like that. Empty compliments weren't his style, at all.

“Water? Oh, darlin', ya don't gotta be holdin' back 'round here!” She laughed at him from the kitchen, instantly amused that he would try to seem so humble when she had already offered something better! Talna already had the water brewing, anyway, no way he could back out with just a simple glass of water! “It's cold out an' I guarantee ya need some warmin' up, don'tja?” She added loudly again with a look outside the window. Still snowing pretty badly, wasn't it? She just hoped Turner was doing good out in the fields! Even if they weren't planting anything, there were still so many rocks and random logs to clean up! She would have to clean up the frost on the windows later.. But, guests came first!
After setting the kettle up on the oven and getting a pair of mugs down for them to drink from, she turned to head back out into the living room, sitting down across from him in the rocking chair while she waited for the water to finish boiling. “But, shoot.. Sorry, Alex, just was hopin' I could have ya try on some of mah knittings – but, ya taller than Turner by a whole ruler.” She explained as she softly rocked herself, a hand going to her cheek with a small shake of the head. Oh, well, no need to linger on it! She would just have to have Turner try them on blindfolded again.. or when he was asleep.. Either way. “Ya really think my home's nice?” She latched onto that compliment as a quick means to brighten up from disappointment. Oh, he did seem like such a nice boy! Maybe she could find something to do with him, then? It felt rude to just call him out without having anything for him to busy with.. But, it was somewhat hard to think of what a big man like Alex could do that Turner didn't already do! Alright! Almost done! He could do this! GO, ILEX! Unfortunately, when he went into the Hipp Farmhouse, he found that Lily had already been there! Damn her for going so fast! Oh, no, not damn her! He loved her~ She was his third on his list of who to bang! Right after he did the Goddess (because of those breasts~) and Daffodil (mostly because he doubted she would know whether he was good or not)! He had to still like her~! Shoo, negative thoughts! He nodded to himself and hurried inside the farmhouse, where he went straight to Turner's bedroom to drop a little turnip shaped rock on the table and an orange envelope addressed to Turner Hipp~!
“ WELCOME BACK, TURNER! I'm so happy you returned!! You don't know the scary people that lived at the farm before you – one was so.. mean! And the other one was mean too! And it was just horrible!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!! You have to come visit me sometime as soon as you can, okay?! I really did miss our time together – oh, but! Since you took so long coming back, I only gave you a rock this year! It's a pretty rock, though.. I mean, I always liked rocks, but most people find them so useless and it's so horrible but I think you can appreciate it, right? Right! I love that you and Talna are together and I know you'll be making lots of babies to help bring the population back up again! I'll be looking forward to it~~!! And, and, you know what else? OH, just come visit me and we can talk!! I want to tell you so much, Turner, I missed you!! >3<”

"...Oh... Thanks..." ...Now he felt a little silly for getting so irritated. Alex really needed to start thinking about getting his temper under control. She may have been a little too... country... for his tastes, but she seemed nice, and there were a lot worse ways to spend an afternoon. Especially since the alternative meant bumming around his house with a bored River. When Elliot had homework to do, it meant that she only had one option of whom to pester. It was always a good idea that he leave the house and let her suffer through her boredom alone.
Alex blinked at Talna as she continued to speak. "...Knittings...?" Okay, now he really felt silly for getting a little offended. He didn't understand what she was talking about, but whatever, it sounded nice. "Err, it's fine..." he sat back where he was sitting and scratched the back of his head. This was kind of uncomfortable. No, make it pretty damn uncomfortable. "Uh, yeah, I do. It's neat and, uh, homey...?" GOD he hated that word. It struck him as odd that it would be considered a compliment to point out that a house did look like a house, rather than a giant box. "And, uh... Turner...?" He didn't know how to ask who that was, as he wasn't nearly as straightforward as his sisters. Hopefully she would get it. He was curious as to whom this Turner person was. Was he a brother or something?

Talna his look with a small one of confusion, unsure why he had to question what 'knittings' was. Didn't he have a mother to knit?! It just sounded horribly sad that some boy could be deprived of the most basic of needs, like hand-knitted scarves and sweaters! Oh, no wonder he wasn't wearing anything suited for this cold weather! She was about to comment on just how sorry she felt for the man when he continued to compliment her homey house~ Ah, that made it sound so nice! She was almost blushing from the flatter while glancing around the home to make sure Turner wasn't in range. She didn't want him getting jealous over some city boy~! “Oh, Turner's mah husband. He's workin' on them fields right now – big mess, too! I can't tell ya how many logs an' rocks are scattered over! He'll be working on 'em all winter.” She shook her head in slight dismay at it, but, well, she couldn't be so put off. Turner was probably happier working on adding to their wood pile and crushing rocks with his sledge hammer~!
“Gladice – ya know Gladice? – she says ta me an' Turner that last folks livin' down 'ere were looney, and, boy, they were more than that.” She lowered her tone dramatically, as if said folks could possibly be listening in to her right then, “Them were devil worshipers. Can ya believe it? In our town! Well, I say it's better that they skedaddled like them did.” She shook her head and leaned back in her rocking chair. Did she happen to find a few of Holly's things while the girl was visiting Andy? Oh, no, she just came across one of Andy and Cici's toys while cleaning the house. Ugh, the thought of it just sent shivers down her spine! She couldn't believe someone like that was living in their old house! She opened her mouth to say something more on the subject when a sharp whistle came from the kitchen. “Oh,” She stopped her rocking so she could stand up, “looks like the water's done. Why don't ya go make yerself useful an' stoke the fire?” She motioned over to the fireplace, the fire in there seeming a bit lower than usual for her taste. She liked keeping the home nice and toasty, after all! She headed back into the kitchen as she continued, going off to get them some tea, “Wood's out back!”

Oh, wonderful~! To offset the horrible, scariness of the last house, Ilex had found himself at the pretty, cozy, and nothing but simple Hipp Farmhouse! He loved zipping over the fields of the farm and smelling the fresh, clean smell of the home whenever he entered it. To his surprise, though, Lily had yet to get there! How odd! The fairy was normally quick to hurry to her places - or, well, quicker than Ilex, at least. Oh, well, he was sure Hyacinth would be proud later when he went to tell her all about how he managed to beat Lily to the Hipps! Now, to get to business.. The fairy headed up to Turner's bedroom, finding a nightstand to set his orange envelope addressed to Turner and his gift of none other than - A ROCK! Oh, but not any rock! Oh, no-sirree! It was silver ore! Probably useless to anyone but a blacksmith, but Ilex found it to be so pretty and perfect that he was sure Turner could appreciate it~! He smiled to himself before he left to his next place, feeling much better now.
“ WHEEE~~! Hello, hello, Turner!! I always love writing to you, you know! You're my FAVORITE guy in town!! I feel like we have so much in common and we're closer than any of my other followers and me are – so! I love sending you presents to show my appreciation for your appreciation of all of us! I think you've been doing a really good job this year, and the year before that, and the year before that – EVERY YEAR! I don't think you can ever do any wrong, Turner! It's just too against your nature to be anything but perfect! You're so simple and happy and you don't let anything get you down and you work so hard but you love it, don't you?! AHH~!! ♥ ♥ ♥ I just love you so much, Turner! I can't wait to have another year watching you and your cute kids and your pretty wife living happy and carefree~! You know, you could be a really good teacher for some of my followers! Winifred, Emery, Tate, Crimson, and even Elliot!! They could all use a super best friend like you and I think you should go there ASAP to give them a helping hand in getting their lives to be as fun and wonderful as yours! YES! GO, TURNER, GO! I look forward to your next visit and I hope you enjoy your gift!! BYE~!”

Lily had just willed herself to stop crying when she reached the Hipp household. She always loved coming here, it was so refreshing and nice. Why couldn't all of her followers live on a nice farm in a nice farmhouse with a nice family? Oh, that would make her so happy. But she wasn't there for her own happiness, she was there to check in on Talna! Noticing that Ilex had already been there, she went over to set down Talna's gift next to Turner's. It was a glass, rectangular vase with a few pretty freesias. Next to that was a letter addressed to Talna in neat handwriting.
Talna! I feel like I haven't seen very much of you this year... Why is that? Ahh, but I know you are doing your best and working hard. You have your friends (though I wonder if you should be spending so much time with Bela, she doesn't seem like the nicest woman...) and you have your children. How many do you have now? Seven? Eight? Eleven? Either way, it must be hard work, so no wonder you're busy! Just don't overwork yourself, okay? I worry about you, you know. Maybe you should take the family on a picnic! Wouldn't that be lovely?
