“You know sometimes I believe you’re crazy as a Mad Hatter, dear.” A young woman with long, light blonde hair says as she folds a yellow t-shirt into a large, brown suit case. She looks over her shoulder as she continued, “Are you sure about me going on this vacation with my family? In couple months we’re going be graduating from school and I am afraid we’re never going see each other again.”
The screen begins to crackle as it begins to break up. In the background, KJ could be heard saying, “Don’t worry about this couple weeks apart. We see each other before we decide our future plans for college. It’s not like your never coming back to me.”
The woman turns toward KJ and softly smiles as the screen go black.
~Present Day~
Newfoundland is sitting up against a concrete wall bouncing a blue bouncing ball across the small hallway to the wall across of him. KJ says as throws the ball back across the hall as shadow comes down the hall toward him, “Sometimes I wonder if you just enjoy making me bag like a little school girl trying to pass her final. Why does it seem that once I find a lunatic, you magically appear on the creepy radar?”
“Because Kay- “
Suddenly KJ leaps to his feet and slams his left forearm under the chin of the person who cast a shadow onto KJ and slams him backward into the wall. Newfoundland yells inches from his face, “Never say my full name, NEVER! When people do actually speak my full given name, they tend to end up dying a very painfully ways.”
The man in his early forty says as he press his large, round glasses up his nose with his right middle finger, “Okay, as long as you don’t crush my wind pipe with your forearm.”
KJ lets the man go and took a step back away.
“KJ, it is possible that I may have created that lunatic of yours. But, this time I did not create this Mad Hatter. I did assist with a creation of another Mad Hatter when I was first starting out working in this field. That was roughly twenty years ago this year.”
“Tel, the reason I am here is to ask you a favor and doesn’t deal with Hatter or even Joey.” KJ says as he shoves his hand into jean pockets, “I need to help to remember something from my past, but the last time I try to access this memory I nearly destroyed my apartment."
Tel motions toward KJ to walk with him, “It would nice to get a post card from you now and then. Shoot, you don’t come around for the anniversary anymore like you did years ago.”
KJ fallows the doctor down the long hallway, “Why would I celebrate the worst day of my life, Tel? Do you celebrate every day you killed those other subjects of yours?”
Tel tightens his jaw
“That’s what I thought,” KJ says as he continued “You know that I joined another wrestling federation? I have match against Madd Hatter at the next PPV and it’s for the vacated Intercontinental championship.”
“And” Tel says getting annoyed by the mention of another attempt from KJ to become a normal person in society.
KJ suddenly stopped
Tel lifts his hands up try to defuse the situation, “KJ, calm down. You know when you get upset you lose all sense of control and horrible things happen to anyone arm length from you.”
KJ growls, “He made me smile with frosting and laughed at me. He laughed directly in my face! Nobody makes fun of Detrimental Dragon! NO ONE!”
“Before you destroy my lab…again” Tel begins to say, “Tell me what you need me to do.”
“Joey beat me twice already in EGW and I choose him to be my equalizer against Madd Hatter. But, he didn’t even bother showing up for the match.” KJ says as he walks back next to Tel, “I need someone to watch my back in our match and I know who I am talking about.”
Tel shook his head, “Not him”
“Yes him,” KJ says with a soft smile, “That b*****d still owns me a favor after sparing his life from my sword.”
Tel sighs as he pulls out his phone and was about to dial the number, “What are you trying to remember, KJ?” Tel faces goes white as the realizes what KJ was trying to do, “I place a safe lock on the memory because if you know the truth you would lose all sense what is right and what is wrong.”
KJ turns his head to the side and asks, “I wanted to know why I am dreaming about a large lizard at night. You told me a million times to never try to remember that memory because then you have to place bullet in my brain to kill me fully.”
Tel lets out the breath he was holding in as KJ told about the weird dream, “I should reintroduce you two. Since technically, you’re his father or you can say his creator.”
