Here is the third area of the Chaos Arena.
The Game Hall, as it is often called, has about two hundred tables, each with four black chairs, and a game over it. The hall is divided in rows of games: this row of a dozen tables are devoted for Shogi. This other row, to Chess. This other, to Go. And so forth. All the games involve, as primary determination, intelligence, strategy and skill over uncertain traits like luck. You even have the option to use the few spaces this area has as giant game boards, where you control people like peons on the game of your choice. However, there is a broad space for the only game in this are that is widely broadcasted: the Diamond Rule.
That's about it for the area, so feel free to post. But, if you want more information on the last game I mentioned, keep reading.
------
The Diamond Rule is a game where each player is called a commander of a team, which must fight for supremacy. Each player receives 15 archers, 20 Heavy infantry and 25 Light infantry. All of those units are represented by real people. Then, the players place their armies in front of each other in a chosen formation, The formation must have about 3 rows, but you choose how many of each unit there is in each row. Each unit has these traits:
Light Infantry: Attack Front Row, 2 HP, causes 2 Damage,
Heavy Infantry: Attack Front Row 4 HP, causes 2 Damage.
Archer: Attack any row, 2 HP, causes 1 Damage
Once you decide your formation and troop disposition, send it over to me, and I'll post it once I have the formation of the two players involve. This will happen so people don't see the other's formation beforehand and try to counteract it.
Then, each player can attack with a number of units equal to their number of rows per turn (so, in the beginning, you can attack with 3 units per turn), but they have to indicate which kind of unit from what row they are attacking. After doing so, it's the turn of the other player. The game will continue this way, and the first to wipe out the other's army wins.
Now, to decide who goes first, there is a very unusual method. When you're going to send me your formation, also send a guess of what the other's formation will be. I'll then count points to you based on how many units you got right in each row. I'll do the same with the other player, and whoever gets more units right will start. Now, if the scores are the same, I'll have to resort to a dice rolling. So sorry.
Any questions about the game, just enter in contact, and I'll try to clarify. Once some interest is shown upon this game, I'll post more about how you can start a game, and how you should send me the info.
