Title: A Strange One
Genre/s: [ I don't know o__o" ]
Main Character: Nameless
You know in any fairy tale of the little lass called "Little Red Ridding Hood" who goes off to grandmother's cottage to deliver a delicious basket of goodies, and is tricked by the terrible big bad wolf. Later is rescued by the huntsman or woodcutter of the forest. Well, this isn't that girl exactly despite of how it may appear. This isn't bed time story where there is a happily ever after.
It all started one afternoon, "Dear could you get going already, it's already one forty-five pm. Your poor grandma must be worried!" A young girl that appears to be around the age of fifteen was clad in a adoring dark scarlet cloak, her lips pursed together in irritation towards the constant nag of her overly worried mother. Only for now, she just can't stand her being this way. She isn't a child anymore, and 'grandmama', as the girl says, is a strong woman.
What old lady would dare to live all alone deep in the woods on the outskirts of the city? Hers did, "Mom--- I'm going!" The red hooded gal rushed out the door with the basket held firmly by the handle. Despite her mother calling out to her, it was ignored, her arrival was way too delayed.
She had taken a bus to the very last stop outside the city, once she got off. The girl viewed the eerie looking forest before her, the sight of it made her shiver. "Oh grandmama," she murmured out, standing there won't get her anywhere so off she trudged her feet along worn out path.
Now is the part as to why her mother was such a worrywart over little princess, "Where am I?" Yes, she is.... Lost. "Darn, I did follow the road... wait," looking about with an confused expression, she had noticed the path she was following was no where to be seen. This won't stop her, she'll find the way out and to grandmother's house.
It has been approximately an hour since she was wandering aimlessly in this wilderness. At times she even cursed under her breathe and kicking up dust, her frustration getting the better of her. Even a tinny bit of paranoia attacking her, 'Oh no... what I'm going to be lost forever!?' 'Grandmama won't get her goodies...' 'Mom is going to ground me years!' and most along that track of thoughts.
The red hooded girl then heaved out a heavy sigh and just sat right under a tall tree of some sort, was it a pine tree. She couldn't tell, suddenly a strange noise piqued up her. It was a loud crack of dry twigs somewhere to the far right. She had immediately swayed her head towards that direction, this is when it was began to terrify her.
Not only was whatever made that sound drew closer, she was heard its breathing and its low hungry growls. "A wolf..." unknowing what else to do she had snuck into a large berry bush. The girl prayed to the lord that it wouldn't find her and gobble her up.
Time had passed, fifteen, twenty minutes? The wolf, she couldn't hear it coming anymore. So raising her hand out to push aside the leaves and branches, she peeked out to see what was going on. To her surprise she was greeted by a pair white gloves which just lurched into the bush and pulled the girl out. Little Red Hood is petite in size, which also makes it hard to believe whether she is teenager or a child.
"What is this? What may it be?" spoke the strange person which held her, "Ah! It is a child or do my eyes deceive me!" The girl couldn't help but feel the urge to slap her hand to her face and later punching the man and kicking him in the gut. The man placed her back to the ground and smirked or grinned widely to her as his hands curled into fists and placed on his sides as a pose. "Well worry not little red you will.... ah it's tea time!"
Just what on earth is this man talking about, that person then just turned about on his heel and headed off to the dark, "H-hey!" Not wanting to be alone once more in this place, she followed right behind him also not forgetting to bring her basket. The two traveled a long way, there were even times where they had landed at dead ends. However---worry not for the mystery gloved male solved it easily with just a toss of his tall top hat and the path was cleared of any obstacles.
They conversed a couple of times, but of nothing of interest except maybe one about a bird. The rest were a bunch of gibberish, "Tea time down the hole!" The man then just leaped down a deep hole in the ground close by a dead tree, this is where things just turned awful for little red. The guy hadn't noticed he holding onto the girl's hand when he jumped in. In so saying, he had pulled her in.
Everything turned to darkness, little red hood felt a bit of a tingle that later turned to make her numb inside also so very cold. The next time she opened her eyes she was seated at a messy table of shatter glass and ceramic ware, spillage of refreshments such like maybe tea.... wait. "Tea time..." Doesn't that sound familiar as well as.... that man. "No... maybe not." She had closed her heavy eyelids and fell into a deep slumber while listening chanting of terrible lyrical songs.
That was last thing that she can remember.
