I just heard about this today, so I'm sharing because I know a good deal of you possibly visit the I-Tunes store a good deal.

But some music stars have released a Songs for Japan album purely on I-tunes (though little ole me, who STILL BUYS CDs is hoping that they'll release it in regular stores too). Information and tracks are here.

Also I know that some of the American voice actors have been organizing podcasts and events for the relief effort, so if anyone hears anything, please share it.

I don't just like Japan because it's my anime source. xd It has always been a big part of mine and my family's life, ever since the Korean War where my grandfather spent his free time there. To me, it's a land of beauty and there's a pull there that has always drawn me, though I've never been (the food's not bad either).

I'm hoping that they can rebuild easily. And my heart goes out to those workers who are still in the line of danger as they try to prevent a nuclear disaster. Not just the plant workers, but the doctors, nurses, police officers, and other people that are still in the danger zone, ensuring that other people are safe.

Last week this one site had a marathon with voice actors to help raise money and tomorrow it seems that there will be another mini one.

I liked Japan long before I knew what anime was. When I was little, my dad used to travel to different parts of the world and would take pictures, bring back stuff and tell stories. I used to have a kimono and I thought Japan was a fascinating place. Their culture just seemed so unique and interesting.

A family friend who we are distantly related to, his wife is from Japan and she was that helped me with my Japanese.

Yes, I hope they can recover soon and be able to get their life stable once again. It must be really scary there right now.
