just like the title says. this is for anyone that is new and to refresh people memory's.

WHAT TO BRING-
make sure you have enough money for all 3 days for the con and for food. (foods is more important then anime or manga. but thats up for you to decide)

water ( baltimore is normally hot or humid out so you need to make sure you can hydrated)

camera with extra batteries or charger and memory cards with you. (you will run out of memory or your battery will die fast at the con.)

a big one DEODORANT( do i have to say more)

some to keep you busy awhile waiting in lines
-------------------------------------------------------------

DON'T-

dont walk around baltimore by yourself. its for your own safety.

dont pull the fire alarm( last year was a nitemare cause of it)

please dont stop in the middle of a hall way to take pics or that. step to the side.
-------------------------------------------------------------

DO's-

Take showers each day

make sure to get into lines early. cause they do get very long at times for some of the area's.

if you pre-reg get your badge thursday so you dont have to wait in line on friday morning.

i know im missing some. so hopefully people will add on.

BRING:
-makeup
-cosplays
-extra change of clothes for each day (for after/if you cosplay)
-normal hygene products (don't JUST bring deodorant. lmao)
-chargers (cell phone/camera/etc)

--

DO:
-stay safe (you'll be in a city. Normal rules apply, despite that there are fun 'otaku' around.)
-Double-check everything you've packed, for the weekend and for each day. You wouldn't want to forget anything.
-Prioritize! (Look at the schedule and decide what you MUST see/do, therefore you won't regret missing anything later.)
-Use common sense. (Come on, guys.)

--

DON'T:
-forget/loose your phone. (That one is kind of... simple.)
-Meet up with someone you met online alone. (If you don't know the person, play it safe. Meet in a crowded area. That being said---)
-Meet up with people in a crowded area. (For people you DO know, make sure you both pick a place you know the location of, and it's somewhat clear of people, so you'll be able to find them easily.)
-Spend all your money right away. (First of all, you need to save some money for food/drinks/emergencies. Second, you might spend all your money now, and see something you REALLY want later.)

...That's all I've got for now.

Bring:

About 150$ will be good (if you're a DVD or figurine nut, bring some more money)
Chargers
Clean clothes
Comfortable Shoes. *'specailly for Cosplayers*
Re-usable Bottle for Drinks
Map of Convention/Baltimore *though Baltimore has a lot of maps around the Harbor*
Common Sense
Good Attitudes. City folks love Tourist but I've seen alot of Attitudes for us Natives. Not cool.

DO:
Manage your schedule, compare it among friends. Don't fret if yo can't do everything in one day. There's 3 days for that.
Wash. All Hotel rooms have showers. Use them.
Get a good night sleep. This'll help with your energies, help you not faint inthe heat, and improve your overall attitude.
Be respectful. Don't yell, glomp random people (seriously, most don't like this), clean up after you eat, don't crowd the hallways/walkways.
Like I said above, also be respectful to the natives. Can't tell you the stories I hear after the con has left.

DON'T:
Meet people you never met alone. The Fountain is a good meeting place. Not your hotel room.
Don't yell in the Hotel. Though, you might be safe if you book Holiday Inn
Bring things like DS, or other expensive objects to the con (leave in Hotel) unless you're good at keeping track of that stuff. People steal.
Bring all your money. 50 or 60 will be good per day. If you need more, just go get it. 'Cause if you lose it, we don't wanna hear it.
Run. Or wear flipflops on Esculators.
Be rude to the Con staff or empolyees.
trust the random Hobo. They're everywhere during con season.

Also, best places to eat:

Uno's at the Harbor place (across from the gallery)
Five Guys @ HP
McDonald's is everywhere
PF Chang's is close to the Barnes and Nobel store.
Panera Bread
There's Chinese in the Gallery.
A, I'll make notes on one's closer to the Con. I'm going by Cheapest of course.
Oh, and there are a lot of Subways, 7 elevens and a CVS store too.

I got sick on the pizza (I don't normally eat greasy things and that mo' fo' was SO greasy...) and ended up leaving the con Saturday afternoon. I felt bad because I was a ride for a few of my friends so they had to leave early with me... sad

I never had the pizza, just the chicken fingers and fries and this was on Friday. I wasn't feeling too good after that xP Lesson learned. xd

Yeah, that's true.
When I went to Zenkaikon last weekend the food was really greasy. It was like, every time you were near the stand you felt like throwing up.
And then we ate there. x: And I felt gross for the rest of the day.

Aww, you went to Zenkaikon? I was planning on going, but then my friends bailed on me so I didn't get to go >.< I know they moved into the convention center around the corner from the hotel. When we went in 2009, the hotel had a restaurant that was really good. We really enjoyed it. 3nodding

It was bigger..
but they still overbooked. =.=
Which was retarded.
So they had a wedding going on, and some business meeting with a bunch of sophisticated black people. O.o;
There was a restaurant, but it was closed. All we could eat was the crappy convention food, so... yeah.
Buuuut, all-in-all, it was still super fun. : 3

That's so stupid. I wish they'd kill the attendance cap. I thought for sure if they moved the con into the convention center limitless people would be allowed in. The time I went I got in almost barely. Like the 4th or 5th person behind our group was where they cut off the attendance. I felt so bad.
Wow. Maybe they closed the restaurant because they knew we were coming o.0; Cowards xD
