One of the world's greatest actresses and humanitarians died today at the age of 79.
For those that may have not seen her movies, TCM is holding a tribute April 10th, here is the line-up for that day, though I'm a bit sad that my two favorite movies by her, Suddenly Last Summer and Cleopatra won't be shown.
Also, for more on the lovely lady, here is an old tribute TCM aired that's narrated by the late Paul Newman.

Aw, I didn't know she died today. To be honest, I didn't think she would live much longer. It's sad, but she seemed to have a lot of health problems.
I think I remember Cleopatra. That was the really long movie right? My dad rented last year.
Rest in peace Elizabeth.

I wouldn't have known if I don't have TCM friended on Facebook. I still don't know exactly how she died.
It's a good movie, though technically it was a flop. It was one of the most expensive movies made in it's time, and unfortunately, it didn't make near as much money as was put into it.

One of the articles said that she died of Congestive Heart Failure. I knew she been in and out of the hospital a lot though.
The movies was alright, though I'm not quite used to how a lot of movies were made back then, it is the acting back then that sort of throws me off as it seems different from how many people act now. Kind of hard to explain what I mean.

The acting then was a good deal different. 3nodding Personally I prefer the acting style used in that time to some of the starlets now, with a few exceptions (Natalie Portman for one), that seem to have a classic flair to their style.

To be honest, I don't pay much attention to the starlets. There are only a handful of people that I really admire, and one of them is Johnny Depp (I like how versatile he is).
But yeah, it's not that it is bad, just not what I'm normally use to. I hadn't watched a lot of the older movies, so that is probably why.

Depp is another one I love too. 3nodding
I'm a bit of a film buff, so I love watching any movies. And there are a few (very few) today that have the feel of classic Golden Age of Hollywood (King's Speech and Black Swan both look like they do).
But even that age had it's fair share of drek. xd

Is it bad that I'm so ridiculously out of touch with the world that I don't know who that is?
^^;
I don't really watch that many movies....
I'm more of a cartoons and comedies watcher...
