As the opening riffs of Metallica's Don't Tread On Me begin to play, the lights in the arena switch to an alternating green and brown hue. A billowing American flag appears on the titantron with the words "Major Devastation" appearing in the foreground over the USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor logo.
He rises slowly from below the stage with the SCW International Championship fastened around his waist and lifts a US flag high over his head in his left hand. As the lift stops, Major Devastation salutes the crowd as red, white and blue fountains of sparks spray around him before making his way down the ramp.
DON'T TREAD ON ME! SAY DON'T TREAD ON ME!
LIBERTY OR DEATH WHAT WE SO PROUDLY HAIL ONCE YOU PROVOKE HER, RATTLING OF HER TAIL
NEVER BEGINS IT NEVER, BUT ONCE ENGAGED NEVER SURRENDERS SHOWING THE FANGS OF RAGE
Now making his way to the ring...
SAY DON'T TREAD ON ME!
Weighing in at two-hundred and seventy pounds, from San Antonio, Texas, he is the SCW International Champion...MAJOR DEVASTATION!
SO BE IT! THREATEN NO MORE TO SECURE PEACE IS TO PREPARE FOR WAR
SO BE IT! SETTLE THE SCORE TOUCH ME AGAIN FOR THE WORDS THAT YOU WILL HEAR EVERMORE...
As he reaches the side of the ring, he hands Old Glory to the ringside attendant and unfastens the championship belt around his waist and slides the title under the ropes before he performs a standing leap onto the ring apron and steps between the top and middle ropes to enter the ring itself, retrieving the belt in the process. He climbs the turnbuckles and plays to the crowd, hoisting the strap high above his head in a Rock-like fashion, while waiting for his opponent to make his entrance.

Come on and light the fuse, He's a rocket and he's ready to go! Cause now the countdown has started And he's ready to blow! He's got the dope sounds pumping in a stereo (Echo!) Kickin' A** fast, Putting on a show! Announcer: "Introducing next, standing in at six feet even, weighing in at 226 pounds, reigning from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is The Mercenary, Xavier Crosss!" Xavier Cross comes out onto the stage to a roar of cheers from the crowd. He pumps his fist into the air and forms a gun with his hand. He lowers his hand and points it to the stage, pretending to fire a shot at it, smirking while doing so. Go on and get yourself together There's no time to rest, And if you put the time in He'll put you to the test! He's like a "running man" In this world more is less! And if you wanna test him best bring your best. Don't make me spell it out, Bring your best! Xavier makes a dash for the ring and dives through the ropes, sliding in half way. He jumps to his feet, makes his way to a turnbuckle and climbs it. He performs his second taunt by crossing his arms above his head, and forming guns with his hands. In this world (HIS WORLD!) Where life is strong In this world (HIS WORLD!) Life's an open book! In this world (HIS WORLD!) Where compromise does not exist, In his world, the flow's every step meets the rest! He smiles for the crowd, brushes his fingers through his hair, then hops down. He rests against the turnbuckle as the music dies down. Once he was ready he moves towards the middle of the ring so the ref could check him and start the match.

Once the referee had finished checking Cross for foreign objects, Major Devastation handed over his title belt to the official, who displayed the championship to both competitors and the entire crowd before handing the strap to the timekeeper and calling for the bell.
When the bell sounded, the champ would look to get right in the face of his considerably smaller challenger and stare him down.

Xavier stands his ground ready to strike. His opponent giving him a vicious stare. Xavier didn't back down as he tries to butt heads with the bigger guy and stare him down as well.

Not expecting Xavier's headbutt, Major Devastation staggered back a step, holding his forehead. He didn't take his eyes off of his opponent as he tried to retaliate with a big headbutt of his own.

Xavier backs off from Major's own headbutt, feeling that sore. Xavier tries going for a spinning sole butt to his gut.

As Xavier whirled around and tried to deliver a spinning sole butt, the champ would try to grab the foot before it could connect and, if successful, would attempt to counter by quickly sweeping the other leg and giving Cross a little push to, theoretically, send him crashing down to the canvas.

Once Xavier's foot was caught, he'll try out his newest tactic by jumping up and going for a high kick with his other leg.

It would appear that Major's attempt to sweep his opponent's leg and send him crashing to the canvas didn't work as planned, since Xavier had whipped his free leg around to try for an enzuigiri of sorts, which was a tactic that the champ had used himself on occasion. There wasn't a whole lot he could do about the foot heading toward his head, which most likely wouldn't feel all that great, but perhaps his counter attempt wouldn't be a total waste of energy if he could take Cross down with him, so he would try to use his free arm to grab the smaller man's waist and try to initiate a spinebuster just before Xavier's foot made contact.
If successful, he would roll over to put a little separation between them as he rubbed the side of his head and came up to a knee.

Xavier is brought down to the mat with the spinebuster. He arcs his back and grits his teeth. He begins to stand back up with his left arm rubbing his back.

Still rubbing the side of his head, the champ brought himself up to a vertical base. Once both men were back up, Major Devastation would offer Cross a lock-up, and if accepted, the big Texan would attempt to deliver a snap suplex to his opponent.
