I'm so happy. A little Family History I was born, obviously, in the Ashkevron family manner. My life preceeded rather boringly until one of the servants heard me singing in the bath. I was enormously embarrassed until she told me how wonderful I sounded, at which point I was still embarrassed but for a different reason. My mother (a Healer, since you ask) decided I had the Gift and had me packed off to Bardic Collegium, where I remain. ((I don't think anyone's mentioned the setting for this yet, so if it's in Haven then I'm a Journeyman currently in residence at the Collegium. If it's somewhere else then I'm a Journeyman... journeying.)) And a little about Me I'm smart, sarcastic, and I have little patience for fools, unless I'm feeling foolish myself. I'm prone to periodic angst and brooding, which I will attempt (and completely fail) to hide under a sunny exterior. I have brown hair and silver eyes. I'm tall and fairly thin. I have the Ashkevron nose. biggrin Oh yes. Forgot to mention! I have a somewhat odd obsession with my ancestor, the Herald-Mage Vanyel Ashkevron. At a very young age he was tossed away by his parents as a poor excuse to save money. So he never had the upbringing like normal children, but the small groups of others like him were as good a family to him. It was at this time that his tiny Gift of Far Sight manifested, finding lost items to earn money. It was eventually realized that Gin hadn't spoken a single word verbally but still managed to communicate with words that his Mind Speech had been fully active.And a little about Me
1. He hates mornings. with a passion.
2. likes the sound of water going over rocks, wind chimes, and the gittern. favorite spot is in the Grove near the water front grottoes
3. plays the pipe fairly well (normal human talent)
4. he's very smart, a bit cynical and sarcastic, and impatient with flaky people.
5. Gin is very loyal to his friends (well he only has one currently, a Healer named Aury)
6. has no will at all to speak with his actual voice, which due to lack of use, is a rough, gravelly sound, like broken thunder
7. likes tricking people by mouthing the words he's saying in Mind Speech. has fooled several Heralds and others.
8. has an intimidating first impression on peopleOh yes. Forgot to mention! The small Healing Gift he possesses can only be applied to himself. He is also nearly immune to any poison because of this. His mind gifts are terribly strong. He has no trouble worming through other's barriers and even people with no gifts at all can hear him clearly.
He has shaggy brown hair and steel blue eyes and falls just shy of 6 foot. Gin also looks totally uncomfortable in uniform.
Gin also has the strange, and disturbing, ability to render himself invisible to all Gifted, even Val. Not even the Bond can tell Val where he is.
