I was reading news about the earthquake, when I saw that it said the earth's axis has changed due to the earthquake! I found that unbelievable! Is this really true?

that would scare me to death, but no, the axis of the earth shouldn't change unless a HUGE meteor crashes into the side of the planet... i dont think that earthquakes can cause that to happen... ill search it up 2 :p

I know you posted this a while ago... but yes, the axis was changed by 6.5 inches or 17 centimeters... besides that, the earth has speeded up its rotation by around 1.8 microseconds (which is not a lot) and apparently the entire island of japan moved about 7 or 8 FEET.... yikes...
