Hey fellow dancers! :]
There aren't really any dance topics so I figured I would make one.
I'm a ballet dancer primarily, I've been dancing about 10ish years. I also do character dance, and I took modern for a year and really liked it, but I had to quit because of a schedule conflict :[ I hope to start it again sometime if possible. I've also taken a few jazz classes here and there.
What type(s) of dance do you do? You can discuss anything about dance, or ask questions, or just in general post anything dance related!

I envy you. I've been "dancing" for a few years now, but I don't have a strong background in ballet. I've only recently, 6 months ago, started a real ballet class, that stuff is hard. I've been in a dance performance troupe for a while, 7 years actually, but without a good foundation I could only do so much. I don't think I'll ever be a dancer, but I'm definitely a "mover".
Anyone with the stamina and strength of a ballet dancer is to be envied!

been dancing my whole life and i still suck lol. people be like "how can u be black and not know how to dance?" haha but i love dancing it like one of the best things to do when ur unsure of what to do.... if that made sense haha

Anyone with the stamina and strength of a ballet dancer is to be envied! Oh well thank you! >.< learning just ballet technique has made it quite hard for me to do some other styles though. Although it has given me strong placement, flexibility, etc, ballet is so controlled that I end up looking very awkward trying to do hip-hop or modern because I can't let go. I don't ever think I'll make dance a career, I'm just not up for a dancer's life, but I definitely will continue to dance throughout my life for fun :]

hippo-loves-me been dancing my whole life and i still suck lol. people be like "how can u be black and not know how to dance?" haha but i love dancing it like one of the best things to do when ur unsure of what to do.... if that made sense haha I agree! Dancing really helps me clear my head when I'm in a bad mood or really stressed :]
