(Model UN, or Model United Nations, is an activity usually done by high school or college/university students who participate in a debate on issues, modeling those of the United Nations.) SO, Sockers and I were talking and we thought this might be a rather good idea. So, basically, I'd like some input on whether or not we should have some sort of MUN inside the guild biggrin For any information please go to: http://www.nmun.org/http://www.unausa.org/modelunThey have a lot of info. Call Me Apple I say yes. Where would we do it? On a thread on Gaia? In the chat? I was thinking a subforum here, or we could open it up in the GCD or the GI if people wanted to join. For certain things, like moderated/unmoderated caucuses, we'd need a chat.* *This reminds me, ya'll (those who said yes) should look up Model UN policy papers, parler-pro, and Model UN resolutions.

Oh cool, yeah if you join an International Relations Club, more than likely it has Model UN. Conferences are the best event ever! Sadly I could not go to any of them because of time. They usually last about 3-5 days most. 60% of the time there out of the country you currently live in. whee
I have joined an international relations club at the college I am in. I have been in it for about one semster already. If you see one join it!
Oh and by the way, do you understand motions that need to be taken to use specefic verbal actions, when or how to use the gavel. Its a good start if you have no clue.

Shouldn't it go in Barton Town: Military/Organization RP or Invitation Only RP? ...Except if it's held in a thread it won't really be meetings, will it? I guess it depends on whether you want it to be more like a RP or like a real model UN.
