I'm working on my poem skills and was just wondering what you thought. enjoy. biggrin
With the weight of the world upon your shoulders,
You've come to your senses but all for naught.
For threats hang over your head like boulders,
Reminding you of everyone you left to rot.
But your fate is far worse for sure,
Alas it will have to wait for the twilight,
If it is to stay purely true and truly pure.
And we'll wait for the next day's light
As we pray for a clearer future, the imminent,
And with each word we slowly die inside.
But we have released what had lain dormant
So with victory in hand, we confess that we've lied.
You stare at us, glare at us, unbelieving,
Not excepting, not comprehending, denying.
But you stare into the night's eye, faltering,
Realizing that life is only meant for dieing.
Our lies had been hidden for year, far more than a century,
Only to be unearthed by the likes of you.
With our dieing breath we place a curse upon thee,
That forever lost and scarred will remain your virtue.
