In the year 2012, all of mankind was united in celebration. That year marked the beginning of a new era, an era of peace. A treaty had been signed between the countries of the world, and one-by-one, they had agreed to a nuclear disarmament. The United States, Israel, North Korea, Russia, and Egypt were the driving forces behind the decision. At exactly 12:35 GMT (-3), on January 1st, each country shut down every base involved with nuclear operations that existed. There would be peace between the citizens of the world. That decision was final. The factions merged to become one, and created an Intelligence Network, a self-expanding network that monitored all aspects of daily life in the cities, to rule over the faction. They called her Artemas. The utopia, which they called Artemas in honor of the IN, was run by a governing body which received information from Artemas.
The world rejoiced and peace reigned.


That was before Crisis arrived.

The rebellion group's primary focus was invading, claiming, and reactivating all nuclear reactors, bringing the world back into an era of tension, one of bloodshed and war. Crisis is one of the biggest world superpowers that exists today, having claimed nearly all of Southeastern Asia, the city of St. Petersburg, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Delhi, Versailles, and Los Angeles.

In the year 2133, the world was plunged into an era of devastation and chaos. More than half of the Earth's population was killed off by nonneuclear global war. It was only a matter of time before the planet itself would be rendered utterly uninhabitable, and all life there would cease to exist. Human beings searched for their last seed of hope, and when they could not find one, they created one. A city was built around the intelligence network of Artemas.
In the utopia, those injured in the war were reconditioned as human cyborgs.
To further ensure peace, Artemas also created ESWAT, an elite force with worldwide jurisdiction.


Yet, as with all gardens, this Eden is still susceptible to serpents who seek its destruction.

Now, it is 2207, and the world is on the brink of a war. The five factions have merged together, their populations integrated, and have united forces to bring down Crisis. Word has been spread about the corrupt and evil new faction, but the people of the world are uncertain. Something is missing. There is something being hidden from them, deep in the fortress-encased Artemas. Something is different that wasn't there before. Something, someone, is on edge.


Your job is to find what it is. You start by belonging to either faction: either Artemas, or Crisis. Crisis is struggling to find what it is that has changed over the years, and fighting to bring it forward to the public eye.

Artemas is fighting to protect that which has stood for a symbol of safety, and is now becoming a symbol of corruption.
