not at all.
but i am guilty of owning 3 of the movies.
only becuase i figure everyone has to see them at least once to enjoy the full range of 'oh god it sucks'

I've read one of the books. It sucked.

Not read them, not gonna. From what I hear they are not terribly good, nor a terribly bad read... but I am super-sick of the hype, the anti-hype and yelling xp

I read the books before they were popular and they were okay, I wouldn't say there is anything great about them. I also watched the movies (I waited until I could rent them for $1) and they were stupid. The only reason why I hate the series so much now is because of all of the stupid fan girls that have never read a real book before saying that it is the best book ever. If they never came along then Stephenie Meyer would still be a nobody, instead of sombody who thinks she is a great author.

If they never came along then Stephenie Meyer would still be a nobody, instead of sombody who thinks she is a great author. That's a good reason to hate it. Literature in general is in bad shape just because Stephenie Meyer exists. stressed

I went to see the first movie and you know what I noticed first thing?
ALL THE FAN GIRLS LOOKED THE SAME! short bobbed hair, glasses and chubby.
now I'm not saying all people that look this way like that hideous excuse for a literary work, I'm just saying what I saw. I actually did a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Nope. not a trick of the light.
and is it me or does what's-her-face have the SAME "did I just smell a fart?" look in everything she's in?

yeah. I do know a few like that as well with those same features that find those books unworthy of the hype they get.
