The Clairvoyant Artexian known as “Rex”, Nox Aeturnum, stood before the center of the town where he would engage in a fight and took in the surroundings. He embraced the abandoned town, taking sight of the fog and cool temperature. He was a Clairvoyant humanoid in short story. Clairvoyance is used to refer to the ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through mental forms of detection from ways other than the five senses a typical human has such as a channel of energy. Nox is gifted with Clairsentience; Clairsentience provides the ability to feel the thoughts or feelings of another person and allow them to soothe another's feelings/emotions, Clairaudience; the perception of sounds such as voices, tones, or noises which are not apparent to other humans or to recording equipment, such as both the living and the dead, and Claircognizance; wherein a person acquires psychic knowledge primarily by means of intrinsic knowledge. It is the ability to know something without a physical explanation why you know it, like the concept of mediums. While the Clairvoyance techniques may seem overpowering, Nox for the most part does not resort to them in battle unless necessary.

The Artexian race is a small, secret community of advanced and intelligent humanoid beings. They are distinguished by the colored markings on their bodies. The colors are unique to each family and represent the specific power(s) an Artexican specializes in. In Nox's case, it is Psion, holding the color mixture of blue and white. By specializing in Psion, Nox is capable of multiple kinesis, however he cannot perform attacks with a majority of these kinesis to do more than medium-sized damage, except for a few of the techniques. Because of such, his strong suit is the overall usage of direct mental and physical Psion energy.

Nox was dressed in his usual appearance of attire that consisted of a black dress shirt, a black pair of trousers, and topped off with black dress shoes. With the appearance of a peculiar being, Nox displayed a porcelain skin tone, piercing red eyes, mid-length black hair, and a slender, muscular build with a height of five feet and nine inches. A set of shades sat along his eyes while his lower face was covered by a black leather mask similar to a ninja mask. His age gave off an appearance of twenty two earth years. As an Artexian, he is capable to manipulate his physical and mental age. He wore a necklace known as the Aeturnum Tribus, which held the split souls of the Aeturnum Originals, Dux Caedis, Rex Nox, and Sicarius Oren. The collection of the split souls would enable a mind link as well as a strengthened bond of unity between them.

At last, his armament would indirectly be introduced. Sitting in a black sheath arched along his backside was his main weapon known as the Lamina Aeternus, or the “Undying Blade.” It was of five feet long and took on the form of a Scimitar, made of onyx obsidian. It is a backsword with a curved blade. Originating in Southwest Asia, the enhanced lightweight form of the Lamina Aeternus displays hooks all along the blade that easily allows the sword wielder to use the hooks to catch objects with its structure. The sharpness of the sword also allows for large amounts of damage to be dealt with each blow. The Lamina Aeternus is finely made to maintain damage over the years of combat. This weapon is also fused with Nox's Psion energy when it had been made in order to be used for techniques involving Nox's control over his Psion energy, such as the size of the weapon. The only other weapon Nox had wasn’t in view, but it was indeed in his possession. The Cultris Iactis, meaning “Throwing Knives,” are simply put, throwing knives of different sizes that hide in the pockets of the pants of Nox. Due to it also being fused with Nox's Psion energy, he is able to shrink the size in order for them to be incognito in his pocket without causing him any harm. Other techniques are also at his disposal because of the Psion energy. Nox stood motionless and gave off little expressions, making him seem emotionless. His body gave off a glow of white and blue, his unique markings upon him that was both concealed by clothing and revealed where the clothing halted to cover. He was ready, awaiting the arrival of his opponent. He had hoped this would be a good one, seeing as it would be against the Atrum Ordo ruler. For only a short moment, the man began to wonder if the fight would last very long. Only time would tell, that was sure.

Nox watched the being before him make their presence known in the abandoned town they stood in. They seemed as if they had prepared specially for him. How nice it was to know his opponent had made sure to look good for their own deathbed. It was always respectable to see something such as that. It was just a shame it had to end this way. Regardless, that was insignificant now. The goal was to town all Virtues and Sins. Nothing more; nothing less. He watched the man closely, taking in every last detail that could be seen. As he did, he could detect the immense amounts of dark aura emitting from Raven. By the way he did, it would make detecting him throughout the fight much easier for Nox. He felt the darkness that hid away his thoughts. It wasn’t something pretty to attempt to read, even if it had failed the way it did.

After he had finished doing his own studying, he listened to what the man said to him. Such foolish comments were made. It was nothing but pure idiocy to Nox. Once he had watched him begin to withdraw his weapon from the creative sheath by use of a cane, Nox proceeded to do the same with his right hand, pulling the scimitar known as Lamina Aeternus out of its sheath and held it across his chest. When Raven had offered Nox a “second chance” to “save” the Aeturnum Requiem, he simply laughed and spoke afterwards, ”You think I would take an offer like that? I’m here now. I’d rather die before I run with my tail between my legs. You see, the Aeturnum have come to take over. You are nothing more than an example to be made of. Neither the Varia, nor Arkadia will have anything to do by the time I am finished. However, I will not write this off, but simply am stating my actions that I’ll proceed with. Although, I do appreciate your fresh-looking attire. You'll look very nice in your deathbed. I wish you the best of luck. Vivat Aeturnum.”

A brief smile took the face of Nox, but quickly faded. He wasn’t one to give much showmanship, unless he respected his opponent enough. He supposed it was one of those rare instances, seeing as he rarely respects anyone other than his own Aeturnums. Nox wondered how he would fare against electricity. While he had taken notice that there was no active electricity, electricity was always in the atmosphere. The planet they were on more than likely contained electromagnetic fields in the atmosphere due to the makeup of planets, whether they were full of life or abandoned. With the curl of his left hand’s fingers, he conjured up his favorite technique with the use of Electro-kinesis and in turn, the nearby electromagnetic fields shifted all around Raven from all sides and targeted him, sending enough voltage of electricity towards him to paralyze him, but not kill him. Nox didn’t want to end this too soon after all. He wanted to see how much Raven could truly do, one way or another.

"It's mystifying how even the Greats reek of the same idiocy the rest of this world seems to reek of. Quite honestly, it saddens me. If you ar--"

Nox had halted his mockery of Raven, as if he had been abruptly interrupted by some unknown force. His expression had grown blank and he appeared to have been having a vision, though he wouldn't give off any signs of what he had seen. During this, his own electricity had been attempting to fight off Raven's electricity every single time it had reappeared. Inside the mind of Nox, he had witnessed something he found horrific. His own sister, Caedis, had hung herself. He wasn't sure of what, but he had the assumption that it was because of Raniero and Junaluska. He watched glimpses of Caedis being raped by Dread Evito, and other instances where she had been threatened to be murdered. When the faded visions had ended, anger grew upon his face and for the first time, he truly locked eyes with Raven.

He watched as the fish-like monsters were summoned. They were heading towards him at full speed it seemed in his view. In response to the summoning, Nox decided it was best to use his own form. Using his own psi-energy, he conjured spears that launched themselves to meet each creature and attempt to impale them. As they did so, the spears would continue to proceed after attempting to destroy the creatures and head towards Raven and attempt to severely injure him amongst his body parts. It was clear, Nox was taking the anger out on Raven, even if he did so calmly.

While the spears were heading towards Raven, Nox continued onwards. Nox went further into his skillset and conjured his Chrono-kinesis, meaning the manipulation of time. Time froze for seven seconds, keeping everything in frozen still. Nox sprinted off carefully, taking note of every electricity summoned from Raven, though it was frozen in place as well. As he ran, he watched the creatures began to be impaled by the spears, but they didn't finish, since they were frozen in place as well. By the end of it all, when time had began again, Nox would have sheathed his weapon, maneuvered behind Raven, and begin sending a knee strike towards his spinal cord and attempt to wrap his arms around Ravens and attempt to pull him towards Nox to try to keep him from using his scabbard, or even avoiding the attack altogether. If the knee connected, it would paralyze Raven. Silently he spoke, "Caedis has fallen. . . And so will. . . You. . ."

Nox put together a glaring obvious detail in the whole matter. He had undoubtedly made a mistake and if he didn't act fast, he would have to pay for it dearly. One of the advantages of being an Artexian, luckily, was the large capacity of knowledge and quick thinking available to him in little time spans. He decided then that it was best to use one technique to get him out of trouble before it was too late. With a proper placement of his hands, he conjured Baro-kinesis, the manipulation of gravity. By shifting the nearby fields, it forced him off the ground and sent him a few feet away from Raven. If the electricity followed him, it would meet Nox's Electro-kinesis like it had before.

Still using the Baro-kinesis, Nox made it so that not only would he have been pushed, but the gravity would effect the fish as well and send them in the opposite direction, allowing him to at the very least, make time for himself. Continuing with such, he would land a few feet back, hopefully far enough to not be targeted by the electricity. Meanwhile, while the fish would be knocked back, he would attempt to send Raven backwards as well from the gravity. While this was happening, Nox would send off four of the Cultris Iactis after grabbing them from his pocket and shifting the sizes. They were thin blades made with Psi-energy that he had constructed with his own energy. The blades would allow him to control and manipulate them however he pleased. He was attempting to slice through Raven's body with the blades while using the gravity in case he were able to make him off balance. Even if he was unable to, they would still be sent off. Nox was hoping to put Raven on the defensive. The blades themselves targeted randomized places of his body, but the velocity and craftsmanship would be enough to sever his body if they connected.

Nox was only a tad surprised when he took notice to the fish-like creatures coming at him at full speed, unaffected by the gravity. Much of it was because Raven was full of so many surprises, Nox had gotten used to being on the defensive. But, for the first time in this fight, luck was indeed on his side. The first was that since he had used the gravity control to gain a bit of ground away from the fish, he at least had a small amount of time to gather up enough energy for an attack.

The second part of this was that Raven was so hell bent on taking down Nox on the offensive side, that he had never seen the Cultris Iactis blades coming for him. The four blades that were sent off reached Raven at virtually the same time Nox was having to prepare an attack. The first blade cleanly sliced off the head of Raven, severing it from his body and falling off the shoulders along with his hat. The second and third sliced off his arms easily, allowing the scabbard he held to fall. The final blade sliced right through his midsection and separated it from the bottom half of his body. Because of such, Raven was unable to launch the beam attack in time, and if it had, it wouldn't be targeted towards Nox, but towards the sky from his head being tossed in the air after it had met the velocity of the first Cultris Iactis blade.

Meanwhile, Nox had used Chrono-kinesis to slow down the time for the opposition, but not stop it completely so that he had much more time to react. In doing so, he rose higher into the air, gaining enough distance. Whilst charging as much of his energy as he could, he whipped his sword down towards the pursuing creatures. His Lamina Aeternus sword was thankfully also made with his psi-energy, allowing him to manipulate it while using little amounts of energy. Nox was concentrating as much of his energy as he could while this was happening, even until some of the fish were close to him. The sword itself would appear to act on it's own and swing through the creatures in waves of onslaughts. Those who hadn't been taken down by the sword would meet Nox's prepared attack.

Seeming to explode out of Nox was one of his new, but well thought out attacks. Psi-energy emerged around him and spread out in an appearance of electricity, but held no similar bases to electricity. It held no element, but acted the same way. It erupted all around the fish and would pass through each one of them like an illness, causing their existence to be nothing more than that of scum for back of a better word. Before long, they would be gone. In the air, Nox could be seen out of breath. Most of his energy had been lost due to having to constantly avoid so many life-threatening attacks. He was trying to regain control of himself, but he knew he had won. Because of which, he allowed his thoughts to sink to that of his fallen sister, Caedis, and his mentally traumatized brother, Oren. With a smirk, he looked off towards the surely dead Raven, wondering what had gone through his mind in the passing moments before it had all ended for him.
