There once was a lonely King. Why you may ask? Well, for one his kingdom bordered out perception of reality, and for another, it was overrun with goblins. Though for this particular kingdom, that was normal. After centuries he soon found one he thought could become a Queen. Though due to his unusual ways and subtleties he took her little brother away when she called for it to be done. After a strange journey through the Labyrinth they fought, and with scripture from a book, She won, banishing his hopes of ever finding one that could become his queen.
Some time would pass and as our world changed, so too did his own. Timeless and ageless in his world, he would be seen here and there about our world. Strange happenings and sightings of strange creatures arising. A sign of trouble within the kingdom that borders our reality. His search for a queen now forgotten as he fights those of this new enemy called the nothingness that threatens to destroy his world like so many before it.
Will he find help from his kingdom or our own reality? Or is his kingdom to fade, and become nothing more then a memory.....

Erin paced about her room before the conversation going on in the hallway from her older siblings caught her ears. Their sister Sarah had come home after a bad breakup, and the two other siblings had been up in arms since. She creaked open her door listening more out of curiosity then anything else.
"Why can't you talk to me Sarah? We know things others don't. I know you've seen the news. I've been seeing them all over town here and there. Why would they even come back here when they know we have ways to defeat them?"
"How should I know? I defeated their king and turned him away. I was a kid then and you were just a baby. Don't think because I had to save you that I know what's going on."
"Hey, you're the one who called him to take me away in the first place remember. Therefore you should know about what goes on. Why don't you as Hoggle or Ludo about what's going on?"
She listened to the two before making a slight interrupting noise. "Are guys rehearsing a play or something?" She asked noticing them both stiffen and knew she shouldn't have been eavesdropping. "Can I help or be a part of it?" She asked hopefully, though knew they rarely included her in anything.
"Erin, I didn't know you were home. And no it's nothing really. You should as usual go on like nothing happened." She said noticing her younger sister. She had done well for the most part trying to quell her imagination though knew she really couldn't. "Look just go back to reading your books or those little puzzles you enjoy. Me and Toby are speaking."
She looked to them both feeling angry again. "Whatever. You two never talk to me about anything." She moved from her room and towards the stairs. "I'm going out for a bit. You two are loud when you talk anyways. It would be easier to be ignored as usual this way." She put her hands into her pockets and headed out before the two could say something. She took a walk to the park finding a spot near the water and sitting down to look at it. After a time she looked ahead seeing an odd creature and stood. She debated a moment following it before she actually did. She watched and continued as it rounded corners here and there. She noticed at one point following down one ally it had disappeared. She paused a moment before realizing it had gotten dark. "They're going to kill me." She muttered. She looked about before realizing there were more creatures surrounding her.
"It's her, the girl who refused the king!"
"We can't let her stop us!"
"Um, I think you little ah, whatever you all are, are confused. I'm pretty sure I've never met a king." She tried to move away but before she could one of them tripped her. She looked to them seeing their almost endless black coloring, then struggled as they began hitting her and called out. "Stop it Leave me alone! Someone help! These pigmes won't stop!" She tried to call out more though stopped struggling as something pinched her arm, then everything went dark.
Toby and his sister looked at the time realizing it was later then normal and their sister was being too quiet. After a while he noticed she hadn't actually come home yet. "Sarah, Erin's still not home. It's dark out, and she's not here." He went with her about the town calling for their sister. He felt bad for a bit knowing she only left because they were arguing about their past again. He rounded one street hearing her and ran to the source in time to see dark little creatures. "Goblins..." He then realised they were dragging another through a black spot on the wall. He ran towards them as he realized it was Erin but was too late. They looked strange for goblins but knew something had to be done. He ran looking for Sarah and soon finding her trying to catch his breath. "Sarah, they took her. Goblin like creatures."
Sarah looked to her brother a moment letting what he said filter into his mind before becoming angry. "He should have left us alone!" She turned looking about before calling out. "Goblin King, Goblin King, wherever you may be, Come here now and stand before me!" She knew he hated being called, but knew he had better show. They couldn't let their sister be taken with no reason. "He better show, or so help me I will defeat him again."

Jareth, King of the Goblins, appeared out of nowhere with a flash of lightning. He knew who had summoned him, yet it depressed him... Just as it also made his heart beat faster at the mere thought of her... Jareth appeared, and looked almost sullen at the mere sight of her, knowing what he wanted with her, but knew it wouldn't. "Sarah... How nice to see you again. And Toby! How are you faring these days? Well, I hope..."
Jareth was not all that thrilled with being summoned like a common servant. He resented that Sarah had defeated him in the past, and that she had turned his heart away... But he also knew that he could not let his love for her go...
"Hoggle? Get out here already, and stop fidgeting. It's unbecoming of a goblin..."

She waited as he appeared and stopped her brother from lunging at him right away. She looked sternly towards the Gobin King. "Jareth, where is she? So help you if she's been hurt." She said as calmly as she could muster. The sight of him bringing back awkward memories. More so as she had recently had her own heart broken. "You have a funny sense of timing. She doesn't know anything about your world, just me and Toby."
He looked towards the Goblin King trying remembering most of what had happened despite his young age. Strange creatures and the stories of his oldest sister were hard to forget. "Give her back. She has nothing to do with our history."

Elsewhere....
Erin woke with blurry vision. Her wrists hurt and after a moment realized they were bound above her and being held in a manner her feet wouldn't touch the ground. She felt panic wash over her looking around and realized she was hanging over what seemed like an endless black pit. She took a deep breath seeing odd little creatures all about, and one larger one.
"Ah, you wake. We have a proposition for you. You've once defeated the great Goblin King, we ask that you join us in doing so a second time."
She shook her head slightly. "I don't know what you're talking about. Really, I think you got the wrong girl. Please, let me go. Really, I can pretend I saw nothing here." She said nervously she wanted to know what was happening though nothing made sense. She remembered asking her sister once about the strange creatures of her dreams, but was told they didn't exist, yet here some where.
"You cannot fool us. You are the great Sarah of the earth realm that defeated the Goblin King. I smell the blood, and it does not lie."
"Blood?" She tried to struggle though it only hurt her wrists more. "Wait, Sarah? Oh not again, Seriously you have the wrong girl, Sarah is my sister, my name's Erin. If you'll kindly let me go home, I'll give her the message you're looking for her."
"Then if you are not the one. The one will come for you, and we will have a bargaining for her aid."

Hoggle stepped forward to defend his former king. "Please, Sarah. Don't take this out on him... He didn't take Erin. As a matter of fact, he hasn't been doing much of anything lately..."
"Quiet, Hoggle... I may no longer be your master, but speak of my personal life without permission, and I will make good my threat I made to you all those years ago. Do I make myself clear?"
Hoggle cowered a little, remembering his first traipse through the Bog of Eternal Stench. "Y- Yes, Jareth..."
"Now then, where were we? Oh, yes... Your lovely sister has been taken from you, you said, yes? Well, as fun as it would be to play a nice game with her at this moment, I am afraid I was not the one who took your precious sister..." Jareth paced back and forth a bit. He saw opportunity here... "Sarah, Toby... What would you say if I were to help you retrieve your lost sibling? I mean, unless you want her to also fade into nothingness..."

"You liar! Giver her back to us." Toby called out. He knew what he had seen. "Goblin like creatures took her. I saw it with my own eyes! They took her through a dark patch in a wall. now give her back!"
She did her best to try calming her brother. She felt uncertain emotions seeing him once more and wasn't sure how to deal with it. Especially with her recent break up. She swallowed hard before looking to Jareth. "If you didn't take her as you say, and can prove this or help to get her back, then I may reconsidered what happened years ago. If the offer is still valid." She didn't like the idea but it was all they had to get help in finding their sister. "Now, if it wasn't your goblins that took her, what or who's were they, and why would they take her?"

Erin kept yelling and calling out knowing she were in trouble. She would have struggled though the idea of falling into darkness didn't sit well at all with her. "Please someone help me! Anyone!"
"No one that cares can hear your screams girl. We are in the goblin kingdom. No one will find you save the one we desire." The creature looked to her seeing her fear and smiled. "We will not destroy you yet human. You still have some worth to us."

A smile started to spread across Jareth's face... He backed her up to a wall, and began to drink in the sight of her once more, feeling his love for her stir again... But then he realized... "Now, how do I know this isn't just some game you would play for the chance to rescue your dear Sister? As it is, you have clearly shown in the past how little I mattered to you." He began to circle Sarah, contemplating her like an experiment about to show its results. "My love for you, apparently, was not enough. And the fulfillment of your wildest dreams made reality did not suit you, either. So what is it you are after, besides the return of your sister? The ruination of my castle? No... you saw to that the last time you were there..."
"Jareth, please!" Hoggle may not have liked taking orders from Jareth in the past when he made him poison Sarah, but the two have become good company for each other in the Goblin City, the last few years. Almost like friends... "Sarah, Toby. We may have an idea who took Erin. But unfortunately, I would ask you both to return to the Labyrinth with us. Trust me. All would be explained better there..."

Toby heard the comment though wasn't sure. "Sarah, you can't be serious. This is the same guy that took me when i was a baby! And we all know your choices in men are horrible but him?" He turned hearing Hoggle though wasn't sure he cared. He felt guilty never having told their sister about the other realm and had feared in the past it would bite them, and now it seemed to have. "If she's there I'll find her."
Sarah looked to Jareth as he backed her to a wall then began circling her. She felt nervous, but excited and tried to hide it despite her brother's protests. "I was younger then. I didn't know what I wanted. It was a lot of pressure to put on a kid." She turned her attention to Hoggle hearing him ask them to go back to the labyrinth. "Hoggle, why would it be better explained there? Erin has no knowledge of that realm why would anyone take her, let alone there?"

Hoggle approached his old friend. "Sarah. A lot has changed in the Goblin City. And I fear, if nothing is done, that we're doomed to stop existing."
Jareth could care less about this topic, so he turned his attention to his almost prodigy. "Toby, my boy. How is that little twinge you feel every now and then? You know... That pull you have when you sense the workings of magic?" Unbeknown to all others, Jareth was quite interested in what he hoped had happened after all these years, finally.

Toby looked towards Jareth as Hoggle spoke to his sister. At the question he thought about it, though wasn't sure. "I'm not following. I've seen goblins running about lately when no one else seems to be able to, except Sarah. Doubt Erin sees them." He didn't like the Goblin King but would deal for now if it got their sister back.
She looked to Hoggle kneeling a bit. "What do you mean? What's been happening to the Goblin City? Ludo, Sir Didemous all right?" She was concerned over the friends she had made. She had a responsibility to them since what had happened, or so she felt. "Take us then. We want to get her back."

The creatures soon moved a large dark crystal near where the girl was hanging. They saw no sense to waist the perfect energy this one was giving off. The more she feared the more her energy would be trapped and stored within the crystal. Soon a dark aura seemed to emanate from the girl and they knew it was working. They had yet to try this on a human and were eager to see how long one could hold up against it's effects.
She watched them feeling scared and nervous as the creatures moved about. She screamed as she felt the thing holding her up drop a little bit closer to the dark hole. She wanted to struggle but could only manage to cry in her fear. Soon she began feeling tired, but wasn't sure why. "Someone save me, someone take me away from this awful place!"

Hoggle nodded as he opened the portal and led the group through to the outer walls of the Labyrinth. As they drew closer, they all looked up at the dark cloud hovering high above the maze... "There. That is more than likely the cause of everything happening. A dark force has come to our land, threatening to erase us from the very fabric of our reality."
Jareth left Toby with that question for now as they left for his kingdom. "Home sweet home. At least it was before The Nothingness came. Oh, well. Let it come. Should it wipe us from existence, who would care? We exist on the border between reality and fantasy. Ours is an existence that practically tears the realms apart as it is. However, should we vanish... Well, I would hate to see the outcome of this little event."

Outside the dungeon, a small group of goblins was ready to attack. "Fire gang. Are you ready to save Sarah? We need her to save ourselves from Nothingness."
"We're ready, man... just give us the cue, and let my hands do the rest." The leader of the Fire Gang took his hands off, and got ready to let them loose to untie the girl hanging on the ropes next to the crystal.
"Don't worry, man, I'm looking out for us. I got our backs!" The small one took out her eyes.
"Okay, group. On my mark... NOW!" Everybody rushed the room.

Sarah looked ahead as the goblin kingdom and the labyrinth to it appeared. She took note of the cloud and each of their tones. Jareth had changed. He sounded like he had already given up on his kingdom, had she hurt him that badly? She nodded walking forward towards the Labyrinth. She Hoggle would help her at least. "Come on then. Lets see about stopping this."
Toby looked to the labyrinth. He hadn't seen it since he was a baby, and later through his life in dreams. He knew the moment Jareth had taken him he was tied to this realm, but wasn't sure as to why or how it was done. He watched Sarah start walking off and rushed a bit holding her arm to stop her. "Sarah wait, think about this. I know you have feelings for this place, but we have no idea what we're walking into. We don't even have any solid proof that Jareth doesn't have our sister or this nothingness as he called it does. We need to think and get more facts. Besides, if he's telling the truth, why would the nothingness bring Erin here? What would they want with someone who has no idea about this place?"
She sighed stopping and listening to her younger sibling. She nodded after a moment before speaking to her. "Toby, I trust Hoggle. And if Jareth had taken her, I'd like to think he would have owned up to it by now." She paused looking to the labyrinth a moment more. "And I'm not a hundred percent sure she's completely unaware of this world. When she was little, she would ask me about things she had seen in her dreams. She said there were strange little creatures and places she could never find her way out of. Like it or not seems our family is tied to this place." She felt sad a moment knowing she should have told their sister the possible truth to her dreams. "Maybe we should have included her in our talks Toby. It would have prepared her in case something like this happened."

She heard noises from somewhere that soon also became yelling. She could see other creatures in cages and looked to them more. "I've seen you before.. or something like you..." She said to herself, though couldn't remember where. As the yelling got louder she looked around soon seeing more little creatures of different sizes and some odder bright orange ones. She called out as what seemed like hands jumped up to her feet and climbed up her body. "Leave me alone, what are you doing?" She watched a moment before she realized they were untying her wrists then panicked realizing she was still over the endless looking pit. "No, wait don't!" As she finished her sentence it was too late. She fell reaching out and barely making the edges of the well. She struggled to hold on calling out. She looked town seeing the darkness and closed her eyes till she realized she was slipping. She tried her best to pull herself up, but nearly let go seeing one of the creatures that had charged in above her.
"Easy my lady, we're here to help you."
She nodded slightly though had to admit she was scared out of her mind. She looked about once the thing helped her up and dodged as the larger dark creature went to strike them. All around her odd creatures of different types. She looked around moving quickly and taking off in a direction she hoped was an exit. She had to get out of there. She felt her heart race as she ran until she tripped and fell. The sounds of the battle gone now as she looked about the walls. She didn't know where she was and didn't like the idea. She picked herself up rubbing her wrists of the soreness before picking a direction to go in. She was already lost, she didn't think any direction she chose would help that.
