Hi, my name is
Professor Zander Lee Aslan

I'm a
male thank you.

I will be your History of Magic teacher and your Deputy Headmaster

I'm 25 years old.

The house I'm in is
Gryffindor

I may seem a bit distant, a little shy, and quiet but I'm really very confident, fun loving and brave. I've learn to over come a lot of problems and now I know how to shine. I love to have fun, meet new people and see the world. People have tended to trust me easy, and I will do my best to help with anything I can.

My background story is
a bit interesting. I was born and raised in Godric's Hallow. My father was a retired writer for the Daily Prophet and my mother, the sweet thing, was nothing more then a house wife. She took care of us and our garden with lots of love and care. There with my siblings I lived a rather happy life. The only dark spot I can recall in those early years was that of people teasing me about my eyes. Not that I cared, I loved them.

It wasn't till I turned 9 that things got bad. While playing with my older brother in the the forest around our home, we ran into something that shouldn't have been there. Big, disgusting and full of rage the creature tore into my brother and I. He died that day, and I lost my left arm. Honestly the only reason I survived is because my grandmother was there. A long time worker for St. Mungo's she managed to heal me but there was no saving my arm.

For years I struggled to adapt to my new found hindrance, to top it off I had to get glasses in my third year. Fate just didn't seem to like me. One day just after my 15th birthday, I had enough. Going into the woods I had decided to let something take me away from all of this. That is when I Ophiuchus. My wonder familiar made everything wonderful and easy again. Some of my housemates shunned me after that, after all who's heard of a Gryffindor with a pet snake?

I learned to adapt with my disability and have my confidence has grown. Nowadays I've returned to Hogsmead and through it Hogwarts. I've longed to come back to my old school and hope to be able to help students as I was once helped.

I enjoy
~ Being with Ophiuchus
~ Helping others
~ A good book
~ Fireside conversations
~ Facing fears
~ A good laugh
~ Earl Grey Tea
~ Sunrises
~ Windy days
~ Peaches

I despise
- People who mock others
- Anyone who makes fun of my arm
- When the stairs move suddenly on me (hard to catch yourself with one arm)
- Being alone
- Those who try to mess with Ophiuchus
- Badly made tea
- Those who won't learn from their mistakes
- Cockiness that gets others hurt

I look like
this and this is me with Ophelius

My wand is a
11 and 3/4th inch Alder wood, with a Sphinx hair core.

My pet is a
Very large serpent named Ophelius. I am not certain of what origins he is but I think he must have some Basalisk in him as he his getting rather big. At almost 27 feet long he is almost a foot thick and pure muscle. He is my long time familiar and my missing left arm.

Oh yes, there's something else I need to tell you!
I am very good with my right hand. Despite missing my left arm I've become very talented to do things that most need two hands for. It's a little known fact that my mother's family has had a habit of producing parseltongues. I just might happen to be one.
