James has always been out for himself. Even at a young age, his mother was useless and his father was a complete drunk. That's why when he was five, he ran away from home and never looked back. A year later, he was putting his unnaturally brilliant mind to good use. He began to working for Vandel Co, helping with marketing and development sect of what was then just a rag tag group of people. At this point James became self-dependent, able to shelter himself, feed himself, and work for himself without outside assistance. It was this ability that caught a powerful person's eye.

Years later, Vandel Co.'s success skyrocketed when Vandel's CEO, Katarina Vandel, made James her right hand man. After that, rivals began to close shop, and the technology Vandel Co. manufactures is now used in every government sect, from the armed forces to the modern family's home. To improve himself and his discipline, he's also taken to martial arts training on the side, and has become quite good at it.

James is very straight forward, but also is the 'fun guy' of any group. He specializes in the ridiculous, but also in the hilarious. His mind allows him to see all sides of an argument, then form a decent end result. His loyalty to friends and family goes well above the norm. And yes, he may be rich, but from just looks alone, you could never tell; he hates flaunting stuff.
