So we were learning about a song in spanish, and when I asked my teacher about a particular word in it, she said that it was in the voseo form. She only explained that when two people use it, it tends to imply a VERY strong bond between those two people. other than that though, she said she knew virtually nothing about it. looking it up didn't really help me, so does anyone know anything about this "mystical voseo form?" confused

I found a little more info:
-It's used in place of tú in certain countries.
-Use varies country to country.
-In Chile, It´s used as a pronoun for you, but only in very intimate or informal situations.
that´s about it though. sweatdrop

Vos - you

I'ts used in counties like Argentina,Uruguay,Chile?,Colombia...
Where it's most used I think is Argentina.

Tú - you

I'ts used in the rest of speaker spanish countries.

The voseo stayed in use by a old spanish way speak. When the spaniards goberned in latin american. And they for respect, en vez de - say your - usted, they said vos and the conjugations were like now vosotros. But afther time, the spaniards gone and the voseo stayed and it was doing more informal.
And stayed for example:
vos sois (like vosotros sois,to the conjugations we were rest the i) - vos sos this way it's says now.

Espero haberte ayudado.
I'm hope help you. My english it's not so good. sweatdrop

I've never heard of "voseo" form... Looks like the people here found some pretty interesting information, though.
