~just something I thought up on the fly~
Megalomania
(lust for power means nothing when you have power)

Look at them,
tripping over their feet.
They have no direction,
so I’ll take charge and lead!

Obviously no one’s fit here,
well, that is, except me
if no one’s going to take control,
we know who it’s got to be.

I’ll lead them in the right direction,
I’ll lead them ‘till I die,
They’ll be thankful for my help,
hey, why would I lie?

It’s judgement day, and for those fools
who think they’ll be safe,
you better look back at your whole life...
Wait! Hey, What are you doing with that mace?

Look at me,
tripping over my feet,
I have no direction.
Who will take charge and lead?

Why, my friend, of course
who would have had a doubt?
He’ll get me out of this mess,
but no, he won’t ride a horse.

He’s not a knight in shining armour,
he’s not an idiot in tin foil.
Actually, the way he looks at me
just makes my blood boil!

Sometimes friends, you see
are your worst enemies.
But hey, who could argue
when they can’t even see?

Look at them,
tripping over their feet.
They have no direction,
who will take charge and lead?

I’ve had my share of megalomania
look where it’s landed me!
But, then megalomania is lust for power...
That’s kind of reversed, you see.

For I,
I have power.
But then, where will they hide
in our solemn hour?

They need a leader,
but no one comes to mind.
So, I’ll have to take charge!
I don’t have megalomania, the power is certainly mine!

Aha! Gaia is finally letting me comment!! xd

I absolutely love this - at first I found it a little difficult to understand, but I think that's mostly because I'm running on very little sleep and very little nourishment, and am thus finding it slightly difficult to think straight.
Reading through it a second time however it struck a chord, I love the meaning behind it and the way it's written... although I can't seem to think of how to say why sweatdrop
