The manor house loomed tall amidst the falling snow. The white flecks falling softly as singing could be heard. Soft voices of children that echoed across the white sea. The door, a wooden entryway that had seen better days beckoned people to explore the inside. Other than the singing, there was no one to be seen outside in the freezing cold. Who would be? Then again, the aura around this place was thick with darkness, regret, hatred and mourning. Only souls who had sinned need enter here, only souls who had nothing to loose, the regret of something... some memory, some past, some event, could call them to this place. Was this punishment for sins?
As the light seemed to fade, the door was highlighted and a small child could now be made out, with long light colored hair and a dress covered in blood. She made no sound, but silent tears streamed down her face. Her eyes were blank black holes where the tears came from, the tears a darker tint than what they should be. Waiting. She was waiting. Hoping. She was hoping. For what? She wasn't speaking. All she did was stand there.
