Just listened to Black Flag "The First Four Years" for the first time in I can't even imagine how long. Probably 3 or 4 years now. Still ******** amazing.
What have you dug up and dusted off recently for the first time in ever and listened to? And if you haven't, might I suggest the above? How about Operation Ivy's "Energy", aka the one everyone owns? When was the last time you listened to the Adolescents?

ho s**t.. its gotta be black flag for me too... i think the same album what a coincidence. :p
its been about two years for that album... godly.... godly...
i also havent listend to the cockny rejects in god knows how long... but there is a reason why i dont listen to it... and i rediscovered that reason when i listened to it again... i really dont like oi that much at all... and the cocney rejects are not very good oi to begin with... :p
also agnostic front... havent heard them in forever... same as the cockney rejects tho... i dont like them so im not going to listen to them for another 2 years i think....

And then you go to a local South/Central Jersey show and its all BRUTALCORE bullshit. I miss when punk bands played PUNK.

yeah... i dunno... im kinda into the crust-sludge-trash metal brootal tru kvlt s**t tho...
but i do like nothing more in this world than going to local shows that have a few classic 80's hardcore sets.
that night i knocked the kid in the nuts the band was attempting a cover of damaged. the ******** singer didnt know the ******** lyrics tho... it was embarassing... a guy from the audience came up and sang it for him lul.
the drummer didnt know what he was doing either....
it was a fine example of a chill as show tho... audience involvement at its purest.

maybe hes a crusty kid yo... and maybe LoC was the last album he listened too.. but since he doesnt have a CD player in his rucksack he hasnt listened to them in 4 months...

it hasnt been that long since i played it last... less than a month and a half.... but every single time i play GZA's Liquid Swords album i fall in love with rap all over again.

One of them would have to be Batmobile. (Which I need to listen to that again, and maybe find more stuff by them)

Been relistening to Screeching Weasel nonstop lately too. Like I have basically all their albums on my iPod, so its just playing one right after the other the past two days.

Ivan The Surf-Punk Been relistening to Screeching Weasel nonstop lately too. Like I have basically all their albums on my iPod, so its just playing one right after the other the past two days. I did that for about a couple months straight when I first got the complete discography. Offspring - Smash. Listening to it now.

Yeah, exactly, got the complete discography a few years back, obsessed over it for months. Then I basically just listened to Bark Like A Dog all the time, then stopped. But just recently got back into Screeching Weasel. So now I'm going through the damn discography all over again.
