Hello, hello, everyone! I come to bring you good news of great awesome.

There is a group on the MSPA Forums known as the MSPlayers. They are notorious for being, in the minds of many, the "voices of the Homestuck characters". A mix of amateur and professional voice artists who regularly record themselves reading pesterlogs in-character.

Several months ago, these people got together and said hey man. Let's make a radio play.

Thus began the epic saga of the Hivebent Radio Play. It's been a long time in the making, and between writing a staggering five acts of script split across I can't even remember how many episodes, the radio play is, at long last, on its way to your ears.

I am also known as catchTwentythree, script editor and the voice of Diamonds Droog, and I'll be keeping you all updated in this topic on the goings-on as Act 1 of the radio play is released, episode by episode, in the near future.

So let me begin with this:

Yeah, I saw that a while ago, I think they also made a FauxVenture that was never finished because the artist never updated. I really loved that FauxVenture heart

I can't wait until it comes out! I've always wanted to be a voice actress (a dream not meant to be I think, with lack of mic crying ) so it's nice to listen to upandcoming voice actors, or pros :3

Ah yes, the FauxVenture. You Are Not Doc Scratch. It's absurdly excellent, and a wonderful place to listen to Teleharmonic and Von Fawn riffing. Those two are our resident professionals, and the respective voices of Tavros/Doc Scratch and Vriska/Snowman.

What is this thing you're talking about, I want to see! I was talking about these, I don't know if it was actually made by some of the people who are doing Hivebent Radioplay:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXhsLwkOpL4&NR=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCYsZ3_QV4Y&feature=related

I really liked them. My favorite parts are the parts with Gamzee and Nepeta.

The GET SOME LEEEEAVES is a Nepeta in-joke with the MSPlayers based on yet another youtube video.

But those videos are voiced by VeggieBLT, a good friend of mine and the Radio Play's voice of Jack Noir/Spades Slick.

I'm actually chilling with Veggie in Vent right now, he's playing Majora's Mask for the first time. XD

I know where the "GET SOME LEEEAVES" part comes from too, I saw that video before I saw the FauxVenture (the one with Tavros breaking his legs and then they dunno what to do so they're like "GET SOME LEEEAVES")

lol nice, tell him I loved that video, and that MM is an awesome game. I heart Legend of Zelda :3

From the voices I can already discern, none of them really fit with my own headcanon, so it's a bit weird to listen to :I Despite this I'd still like to see (hear?) the episodes when they're out.

I hear that a lot. c.c But I think it's because for most people, they hear some variation on their own voice for the characters they read.

Some don't fit for me, but others, like Gamzee, Vriska, and Tavros? Spot-on. And Eridan is fantastic. Flippin' w's all over the place.

Y'know, when I imagined Eridan's voice, I always thought it would sound like Zora Link from Majora's Mask (except actually speaking and not just saying "AHHHH" "YAAAHHhh" and etc) xD SOUNDS FISHY X3

My headcanon is strange...

saw a vid and it kinda set my headcanon...
it's kinda a mix of:

- Stu making chocolate pudding at 4am [/shot]
- A tiny hint of Spongebob?
- Brand New Day song (yes, THAT one - THE ANGELS SING CAUSE YOU'RE GONNA DIE [/shot])
- and maybe a bit of Harry Potter for the sake of it

Now that you guys mention Eridan, he had better have his wwavvy accent, where he pronounces his Vs like Ws and his Ws like really strong Ws. I haven't a specific voice preference, but the accent has to be there. > w<

Also I hope Kanaya's VA Speaks Very Clear And Dare I Say It Robotic But Not Like Aradia Who Is A Robot.

Kanaya does speak with very strong enunciation, yes.

And Octopimp is AMAZING as Eridan. He does do the v's as w's, yes, but more importantly... He doesn't just make the w's into strong w's. He actually goes ww. Flips a lightning-fast "wuh" in front of any w. It's amazing. XD

This isn't a great one of Feferi, but it's great for Vriska and Eridan. http://tindeck.com/listen/pdwg

Jay-Arr struggled with getting Feferi's... excitement, early on. From what I hear she's much better at it now. The glubtrains, they are decadent.

Oh man.. I'm very excited for this! The preview just sounds fun. Although the voices aren't quite what I was expecting, I can tell a lot of care and talent went into this. So I'm game. Can't wait to start hearing the episodes!
