A "theme of the week" avatar contest. I could run this every week, maybe every other week. And the challenge would be to have the "best" avatar based on the current week's category by the end of the week(Saturday). Of course the theme for the next week would be announced beforehand just in case someone can't raise the money for an item they have in mind within a week. In certain cases, like having an avatar but needing an item or two that costs a couple hundred thousand or more, I would allow tekteks of course.
I'm in no position to give out gold-based prizes. But I could give sprite-jobs as rewards, considering I don't sell them they could be called collector's items. ;3

Though I prefer avi contests that don't allow tekteks. Makes the user be more creative if they can't use all those fancy items they don't actually own. >_> At least in my opinion.
Your contest, though, so it wouldn't bother me if you allowed tekteks. =)
What kind of themes did you have in mind?

Your contest, though, so it wouldn't bother me if you allowed tekteks. =)
What kind of themes did you have in mind? Certain themes could get pricey in their own right, that's the only reason I added it. I wouldn't allow a tektek if the person can't prove they had the rest of the avatar worked out n Gaia. Mostly simple stuff, stay general so I don't spend half the week answering "Wat's that?!". Cosplay(seperate for movie, ty, and video game stuff most likely.), real-worldfashion styles, stuff like that.

I might be able to do anime/manga cosplays, but I'm very very limited in anything else. I don't watch much tv, just a few shows, same for movies, and I'm not into fashion. >_< They'd have to be big time celebs for me to know them. sweatdrop
If you posted a link to a photo and a description with the theme, then that would help me, and anyone else like me (who lives under a rock. >_>)
I'd totally participate in the ones I can do though. ♥

I'm in no way inclined towards fashion myself, I'd probably have to have categories suggested a lot of the time. xD

Well since it's essentially greenlighted now how about we pick a category so I can set the thread up and start taking entries on Sunday? biggrin
I'm thinking something simple considering it's the first week.
(Sidenote: I loves this new little griffin pal. :3)
