Biography: Hello, my name is Usui Hatsumori and this is my story.
I was born inside of the Fire Nation Captial City. My mother was the sister to the previous fire lord making me his nephew. My uncle thought I had great promise. I lived a fun life with my siblings. In the Fire Nation Academy, myself and my younger brother were two of the top students that graduated first. It was a great day for the both of us.
Following the days after my Academy Graduation, I went to learn from a Fire Bending Master alongside my brother. We both were able to master fire bending in little to no time at all. However, I was able to bend lightning as well. My brother was quite furious at the fact that he could not bend the lightning like I could. However he calmed down and told himself not to think of it. That caught the eye of their uncle the Fire Lord. He decreed that his two nephews would battle each other in an Agni Kai. At this time my older brother Kyoya had left to join the army.
The day of the Agni Kai as I looked into the crowd, it seemed as though the entire Fire Nation was here to watch." Bro.. we don't have to go through with this.." I said to my own brother, but he simply ignored me. As we entered the arena. We stripped our shirts to reveal vest, but readied ourself. Our uncle waved his hand to say begin. Our battle lasted for 1 in a half hours. Before I had to end it. As I bent the lightning around myself, my brother stood dumb founded. " I'm sorry.." I said before shooting the lightning directly at him. It hit him dead in the chest killing him. My uncle nodded in approval as I moved into the palace wihth him and my other cousins. I have lived here ever since and I love it. However I am constantly reminded of my brother. What I believe is lucky for me, is that he died with a smile on his face. That always makes me feel better.
