Greatest Strength:his greatest strength, is his singleminded drive to accomplish the goal as quickly as possible, and his fierce loyalty to the Gotei.
Greatest Weakness:He is often a calm and reserved person, but his reactions to anything can be triggered with a hairline fuse.
Soft spot: his soft spot is for the children who are orphans, living in the Rukongai, because that is where he and his brother originated.
Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: Yes, sometimes during his free time, he can be seen taking food to the kids, which is also a theft deterrent, for if they are well fed, they are less likely to try and steal.

Biggest Vulnerability: His Biggest Vulnerability is very likely his emotional state. He is a Reserved individual, and can seem cold or even harsh, but he doesn't like being viewed as such.

Background:Kuroi has a very interesting background. He grew up in the Rukongai, raising his younger brother, Shiroi. Living as orphans in Rukon was a very challenging way to live, and Kuroi Often resorted to thievery, to simply find enough food to feed his brother. he often went without food himself when he could not steal enough. One night, he was trying to steal a loaf of bread, and was caught by the owner of the cart, who proceeded to try and beat Kuroi with a lit torch. He suffered massive Burns to his arms, and has promptly kept the resulting scars covered by wraps.
after a long twenty years, Kuroi was happened upon by a soul reaper, who had caught him stealing, and in a show of generosity, purchased enough food for both Kuroi and Shiroi. Kuroi was so thankful to the man, but he never saw him again. It was then that Kuroi decided that he would work, and become a soul reaper as well, to try and pay back the kindness of the man. It took him 10 years to even gain access to the Shinou academy, where he studied and trained vigorously, often creating an image that he was a loner. He graduated in 2 years, Record time for most shinigami. He was originally placed in squad five, where his excellent kidou skills earned him the rank of lieutenant. However, he yearned for more experience in other fields, so he began to bounce from squad to squad, doing well in all, except for squad twelve, as he did not have a knack for science.
It was in squad eleven, that he first met Sanzo, his future Captain. the two did not agree on much. However, When both Sanzo and he were transferred to division one, it was almost a sign. Sanzo rose fast, and took the seat of the captain Commander. Kuroi did not rise quite as fast, and settled for lieutenant. His Strong work ethic is the only thing keeping Sanzo's Office from flooding with paper. Sanzo and He argue on a regular basis, but since working together, have grown a mutual friendship. Sanzo is one of the few people Kuroi properly respects.
Things to know: Kuroi is a skilled fighter, having trained extensively in all forms of soulreaper combat. It is often said that his wild Reiatsu emits a feeling akin to a pack of feral dogs on the battle field. Through Meditation, he controls his high level of Reiatsu, which, is not always reliable, so he wears a limiter in just incase, in the form of a silver ring through his ear.
Type of childhood:His Childhood was challenging, however, it shaped how he worked himself in the future.
Most important child hood event that still effects him/her: the burning of his arms, because he is ashamed that he was injured trying to steal.
