They were very supportive. I know I'm a bit late in doing it. I wanted to do it sooner. But everything I was worried about went fine. I just wanted to share that with you and maybe start a discussion, and here so that it wouldn't be seen as me... I don't know. That was a long time ago. You've all changed for the better.
Thank you.

Thank you.
It's not everyone who gets this much support. I think everyone else is out to their parents. If not, it seems scary, and it is. But it's not as bad you you think it will be. I regret not doing it sooner.

Ah, my coming out was a bit... awkward. Although my mom is very accepting of it. And I assume my step-dad is as well(given he voted for gay marriage in Cali), but for some reason I can't bring myself to tell him. I don't know why. I think he's even implied(through jokes) that he knows.
My older sister was even surprised when she also found out, given she thought I was some sort of hardcore conservative, (I don't know how, lol) but she's very supportive of it as well.

Wain Scoting Good for you, Rit! It's good to know that there are so many supportive people out there. Yes, I'm quite fortunate! On a side note, I'm also coming out to my friends. (sort of. ie. my facebook has my preference set to men, but I don't think no one really looks at my profile save for at least this one friend who lives a town away from me where I used to live. But she already knew I was gay, so that's sort of a moot point) I even told my best friend and he doesn't mind any one bit at all. He's very open-minded about it, which comforts me. I sort of wish I would have done this sooner, but then again it's not as if there was an appropriate chance to do so.

Very true. Chances don't come about very often. I told my best friend before anyone else. He seemed okay with it, but we've since grown apart... He doesn't know that I can't stand him anymore... That could be another thread here...

Frelly Panique Avec Moi Frelly lol i had to come out twice man sux huh? Do explain? well i told my mom i was bi but then like two years later i was like nah i'm just gay now I sort of did the same thing with my mom. Only the first time though she asked and I said I wasn't sure Then a couple years later she asked again and I pretty much admitted to it. However both these processes were ******** embarrassing for other reasons even if she was in support of it.

Though it's still awkward talking to her about it for some reason, even if she and my step-dad are in full support of everything lgbt related. Perhaps I'm just not used to being open about myself in the first place. :/
