Through the faceless crowd of people, a young ignorant boy runs, unknowing of his destiny. The young boy slams through the door. "Papa! Papa! There is an Eagle outside in the sky again!" The boy says in excitement and despair. "You know this means I must go, my son." "I know Papa! Come back before dinner!" The man leaves the home. "Mama, what are we to have for dinner?" "Beans, figlio" The boy complains a bit before being sent to his room until dinner. As the sun sets, Dinner plates are set upon the table. The Family sits around the table, all in attendance, awaiting the arrival of the man of the house. Hundreds of Dawns and Dusks come and go. The father never to return. As the years pass the boy grows. "Ma, I am off to the market." "Be careful, figlio! Please come back to me." "I will, Mama" The boy, now a yound man of 19, runs into the streets. Ahhh, my playground He thinks to himself, as he has been using the city to train his free running. The young man runs and scales a building with ease, only to hop across the next, grab a rope and swing onto a third. He runs as he jumps, he see prisoners. He notices a king, We do not have a king! What is the meaning of this? The boy lands and waits on a rooftop observing everything.
"These mens' lives have only been spared due to my absences! No long shall These Eagles soar! I am the Lion, I am the Judge, I am your end!" The King shouts at the prisoners. They all remain silent and bold, none have fear. The King notices this. "Not scared!? Do you think there is a rescue for you all!?" One of the prisoners laughs "No, You do not understand, we know no one will come for us, but our mission has been finished, You are here aren't you?" The kind is outraged, He takes a spear from a guard and stabs the man. The man dies almost instantly from the spear piercing his heart. The young man covers his mouth, he can not believe what he is seeing. He decides to move closer, being stealthy he gets closer and notices one of the prisoners looks familiar. The boy's eyes open widely, he could not believe he was seeing his father, alive. "Papa..." tears fill and begin to burn the young man's eyes. The boy can no longer sit there, He tackles a Yeoman, to whom had been exploring the rooftops. Stealing his bow the boy jumps off the building firing an arrow at the King. The young man misses horribly. Guards rush to the king, The young man had not seen them. "ARRRGGGHH!!!!" The young man fires another arrows at the king, this time it would have been a kill shot had a guard not jumped in the way. As the guard falls, The young man runs toward the king with only a small dagger. The Guards easily take the young man down. Being held down the young man yells "Papa!" Immediately a prisoner recognized the voice,"Figlio!, jerked away from the guard holding him, disarming him and killing him. "King! You will allow that young man to live! Take my life in his place!" The king answers "No, you shall both die if you can not defend your honor!" The king slides the man a sword, "You shall entertain me! Templars!" Three men walk from behind the kings carriage. "Kill him! He is an Assassin!" One Templar rushes the man, The man ducks under the Templars huge Battleaxe and stabs him in the stomach, slashing out of the Templar's body. The second Templar swung his b*****d sword at the man's midsection, the man dodging and slices the Templar's throat wide open. The Third Templar decided to try and run away, but the man grabs the First Templar's battleaxe and throws it toward the Templar catching him in the spine, killing him slowly. "Is that all King!?" The King laughs and steps forward, Now for your real challenge, me." Many guards try to tell the king otherwise, to no anvil. The King and the Prisoner begin to fight, they are even in skill. The King, however, isn't starving. The prisoner falls to the ground from lack of food and water. "Do with me what you want, but I beg you to leave my son be!" The king promises not to harm the boy as long as he leaves the country. The Prisoner agrees and promises he will. The king looks at the young man "Did you know your father was an assassin!??" The young man is confused. "No, what assassin!?" "Tis'a'shame," The king stabs the prisoner with a reddish-brown Kris "Another assassin dead. Yet I live." He laughs. The young man had broken the guards hold after the king stabbed the Prisoner "Papa!!!!!" The young man runs to the man. "No!!!! You never came back for dinner!" The king enters his carriage and orders his men to leave the boy and the dead. The Prisoner, being held by his son, whispers "Figlio You must learn the ways, Follow the next Eagle you see. You will soon understand. My son, Make me proud, Xile." "Father no! Please Father be strong! dont die!"

“This is the last test, Cassandra, are you ready?” Claudia Auditore rode beside the young Assassin recruit, heading towards a Templar camp. The night was cool and cloudless, and occasionally the horses would shy away from shadows. Cassandra tugged at the reigns and whispered soothing words in her black gelding’s ear, “Easy, boy. Everything will be alright.” She sat up straight and looked the older woman in the eye, “Of course, Miss Claudia, I would not be here if I was not.” Claudia smiled and nodded, “Good, that is what I like to hear.” They neared the base of the hill where the camp sat, where the camp sat, “Overview the assignment for me, make sure you have it right.” “I am to infiltrate the base, set fire to the armory, and kill the captain.” “And?” Cassandra grinned, “And remain undetected.” Claudia nodded, “Alright then, get going.” “Right.” The young woman dismounted and headed up the hill in a swift footed crouch. There was a guard tower on this side of the base, the guard on top searching for an enemy that he would never see coming. Cassandra scaled the tower and peeked over the side. The guard had his back to her, so she jumped up and slit his throat, laying him down silently. She glanced over the edge and saw one lonely guard patrolling the camp. She stepped over the edge of the tower, landing on him and breaking her fall. She dragged his dead body into a dark corner. She crept through the camp until she found the large armory. There were tall stacks of gunpowder kegs in the corner, so Cassandra took a piece of rope, tied one end around a keg and unraveled it to its full length. She then took steel and flint and set fire to the rope. She ran to the edge of the camp, covering her ears. When the armory blew sky high, the camp was thrown into chaos. Cassandra hid in the shadows until she spotted the captain among the throng of frightened Templars. She saw him running out of the camp on his horse, and she flew into a quick pursuit. She ran after him, but started to fall behind. In one last ditch effort, she threw a knife at him, hitting him in the back of the throat. He fell dead from his horse, and Cassandra snuck back to the horses. *** “A little unorthodox, but you got the job done. Take the Leap.” Ezio Auditore stood next to his sister on the tower where the Assassins had their base. He smiled as Cassandra grinned at him, and then she leapt into the dark abyss.

A week passed after Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad had pierced the heart of the Templar Grandmaster, Armand Bouchart in Limassol, Cyprus. Altaïr pulled the Apple of Eden from his left pouch "I have suffered so much, because of this, this Peice of Eden, this Gift from God." He stood up, and walked over to his desk, on the top right corner layed his book, the book which years after was seperated by pages, and known as the fabled Codex. He took it, and dashed outside, where he performed a Leap of Faith, and had found Malik. "Malik, do you see this book?" "Yes," said Malik. "It will survive hundreds of years, but for now I need you to seperate it's pages and lock them away." "Why is that brother?" "This is the story of our Creed, I will not allow it to fall in the wrong hands." "As you wish," said Malik. Malik rode off, Altaïr watched as he left the city. With the Codex within Malik's arms, Altaïr could finally complete what would end up his biggest mistake. He pressed his hand on a stone that opened the passage to a hidden room. He walked down the stairs, and it seemed to go down thousands of feet below the Earth's surface. When he reached the bottom, he placed the Peice of Eden on top of the altar, and as he left the room, the way behind him was sealed with many traps, yet it was very insecure. It's just a small story, on what could have possibly happend on how the Codex Pages were seperated, and how the Vault could have been insecure so that during the Siege of Monteriggioni, When Cesare Borgia showed the Piece of Eden in his hand, meaning that he successfully raided the Vault. It is exactly 250 words, I used Word Count. I think Malik sent out the pages, because by that time they had a brotherly relationship after all they went through, mainly after the death of Al Mualim.

Indeed, it explained that Cesare raided the Vault. It seemed, that those Templars were clever enough to get inside and steal the Piece of Eden. Altair's legendary Vault wasn't enough. It makes sense that they could of done it, they had tools from hundreds of years later. Im still curious on how he did it. Maybe he used the Codex pages to find, and then open the Vault. What do you think?
