Cradle of Filth as all hardcore fans would and some fans that just vist the website they are recording a new CD which the title has yet to be released but it is promised to be the best yet. (Which Nothing has ever toped Midian for me) Mr.Filth him self admits there might be a normal Vocal part he says he wants something new for Cradle fans... To hear some of their new work Underworld 2 soundtrack has Halloween 2 on it.

Also the Black Metal Bible 'Gospel of Filth' Hits america in March of 06. This book is suppose to be intresting and explaining where Mr.Filth finds ispiration. This Book has a chapter for Every CD up To Nymphetamine ((Sp??))

Also the band has replaced Mr.Powell (Keys) who left in late 05 with a Rosie Smith.... And James M. Has also been replaced as to he left...

Lastly For those of you who are fans of Miss. Jezebel Deva's work this Tour (December 05) may have been her last with Cradle of Filth. She has started her own band which is going nicely they have a great sound Mr.Pybus is playing bass for them as well... However she says her work with bands as a back up might very well be done...

Cradle Download Festival

CRADLE OF FILTH have been confirmed for the Download Festival, which is set to take place from Friday, June 9 until Sunday, June 11 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. They join the acts already announced, which are METALLICA, GUNS N' ROSES, THE PRODIGY, KORN, DEFTONES, TRIVIUM, CLUTCH, LACUNA COIL, WITHIN TEMPTATION, HATEBREED and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. More acts will be confirmed over the coming weeks and months, to a full line-up of around 100 metal and rock bands over the three days.

More festivals will be announced soon. Check back soon for details.

On the roadunner records website it has been confirmed that Sarah Jezebel Deva and Liv Kristine will both be on this album Liv and Dani will be doing another duet. Perhapes a new tradition?

New album title explained...

Seen as the title 'THORNOGRAPHY' for the new album was released without our knowledge a few days ago, cradleoffilth.com asked the band direct for an exclusive explination as to what it means.

This title represents mankind's obsession with sin and self. The thorn combines images of that which troubled Christ, the crown of thorns, thus intimating man's seeming desire to hurt God and also, of the protecting thorn and the need to enclose a secret place or the soul from attack.
An addiction to self punishment or something equally poisonous.
A mania. Twisted desires. Barbed dreams. A fetish.
An obsession with cruelty. Savage nature.
Paganism over Christianity.

The title can also represent a sexual attraction to religious iconography as in the case of the 'possessed' Lourdon nuns.

I like the title because to me it invokes images of a darker, sexier pre-Raphaelite scene wherein Sleeping Beauty's castle is won and she is awoken by a poisonous kiss.
