Several hundred years ago in the lands of Evermore, there is a large city called Solaris. It is a large empire, but it is truly ruled by those that deal in the darkness and back allies. There are many criminal organizations that fight for control of the city, they do so using the services of the many assassins that live throughout the city. This is the story of those assassins, the ones that know only death and live only in shadow.

Orpheus moved through the dark alleys of Solaris, nearly invisible to the eye. His hands resting on the hilts of his throwing knives. He is always alert for danger, although many have tried to kill him, but none have ever even come close to doing so. He slips inside a nearby tavern and takes a seat in the back corner with a view of the door. He sat in the dark corner, his black cloak and hood making him nearly invisible as he watched the door. He kept his back to the wall to prevent any attacks at his back, as he waited for his target to enter the bar.

He turned his head as he heard the small click of a secret door opening in the back wall. He smirked softly as his target moved past his table. He reached out and scratched the woman's hand with a dagger, barely drawing blood. The dagger however was covered in King Cobra venom, and the woman screamed and thrashed and died just outside the tavern doors.
