Mother the child calls
father the young boy says
yet an answer they get none
for the ones they love are gone forever
that is how my heart feels
like a motherless child
for my other half is missing


Calling
like a bird i call out to the skies
my song is bittersweet and brings no happiness
the rest of the world with me has cut its ties
it seems my life has become one big mess
my heart has turned stone cold
yet no one has seen me
i have hidden since i was young and now i continue to grow old
oh to be seen is all i ask to be
so let my song hit deaf ears
and let the children never see
for i do not want them to see scarlet tears
i want no one to hear the voice that i call me
