Skal fristerinne føre dem til mørket?
"Du skal ikke dø som et dovendyr i sengen din, skal du dø som krigere i kamp med øksen din holdes høyt dryppet i dine fiender blodet."
Time did not matter and was not recorded for the band or rogue vikings. They merely went by moon cycles with the waves that lapped against their boats and how many villages they have destroyed. Each village, after all, had their own landmark. "Det var før den tiden av kvinner" one would merely say and one would remember that raid so long ago where there was a village with absense of any man. The powers that the vikings held were feared throughout every land that humans touched, some of the tales even reached through animal's tongues. Not all the barbarians were as ruthless as the others, even though they worked as one writhing entity. They were full of hate when anger was needed, lustful when breeding called, envious when they new of a need, gluttons when they found thier eat and drink, Greedy when they found jewels, Lazy when no work was to be done and prideful of their work and those that they conquered. They raided each meadhall and boasted with good fun at the end of every conquest, leaving not a drop of ale for those they left behind with what was left of their pitiful communities.

Little did they know, Vár would be collecting her price soon. After what modern scholars would say was 50 years of sailing and piliging the villages, Vár's contract was ended. The contract that none remembered making. As their contract ends, they see a small light along the shore and make for it, when they reach thier destination, however, it is empty and no light glows. Still, they all disembark form the ship and search for the village they all saw. Soon they are in a frozen plain of nothing but snow and trees, and while they feel no cold the dark bites at thier senses. The ship and shore that they had left just moment before was now nothing but forest and snow. They try to go back still but to no avail and now they are trapped withing a realm, created for Vár's own purpose with the aid of Váli, whom saw the contract of the deed commence.

Now, their bodies are aging as they grow with hunger, knowing thier death it forthcomming they must escape to quench their gods thirst for them to die in battle, lest not go to the meadhall in the heavens. All the while the god and goddess are in the background, watching the revenge unfurl in their names even though the barbarians have no rememberance of the act of contraction.
Main Idea
The characters here will end up going through a series of trials held by specific gods and goddesses of Viking belief (Loki, Odin, Thor), while slowly regaining their memories. Their memories of why they made the contract, what the contract originally entailed, and who got them to make it.
