But there's something that i cannot understand about this topic.
Most black girls take offense when someone calls them darkskinned. I have a friend who is about Lyssie's skin complextion or maybe a shade lighter, and when I make a comment or when someone else does , saying how she's darkskinned , she automatically says "I'm not darkskinned." , with a whole attitude. Like WTF?
She's not lightskinned, so obvisouly she and other black girls who aren't considered lightskinned are darkskinned. I don't see why some black girls take offense to that , like when someone says darkskinned, they assume midnight black or some s**t. I just don't understand their way of thinking.
can someone kinda elaborate?
