In Kingdom Hearts 1 - it begins on an island called Destiny Islands where these three kids Sora, Kairi, and Riku dream about seeing other worlds wondering why were they chosen to be on that one island they call home.
They got their wish and then some when in the shadows, a scientist known as Wise Ansem decided to use the darkness within the hearts of others to see what would come of them. His over all plan was to control the hearts within beings, to see if it could be done.
As a result, the heartless were born. Drawn to the evil nature of the heartless, the sorceress from Sleeping Beauty known as Maleficent took to that offering most willingly. She wanted, of course, to control everything, as that's what her original intention was after being banished by Princess Aurora's parents.
And so, the idea of Kingdom Hearts was born. Kingdom Hearts is, in truth an icon symbolizing the heart's true desires. Anyone brave enough to stand in front of it, wherever it may be at the time, is granted a single wish. The greatest wish of what that one desires.
In the first adventure, Riku, who had been corrupted by the darkness had wished to be filled with the darkness, and thus got his wish.
Kingdom Hearts 2 focuses on the second half of the rise of Organization 13. In Kingdom Hearts 1 and a half, which is more like a cheap Yu-gi-oh style game and combining it with Kingdom Hearts knowledge ( a waste of a game KH 1 and a half was, seriously), it focused on the first half of the Organization and how the 13th member Roxas truly came into being.
The 1 and a half was supposed to be the in-betweener and the explantion to what 2 goes into. Personally, I think they should have just remade 2 and had what 1 and a half was trying to do, as a bonus game if... and only if you completed Jiminy's journal. Thus looking into why Sora fell asleep in the first place as the question will be brought up at end game only if the journal had been finished.
Anyway, 2 starts in a place called Twilight Town, for which this guild was named after. Your character is Organization 13 member named Roxas. Except... he is no longer with the organization. He's turned traitor! The only one who seemed to truly care about what Roxas did was Axel.
Axel may have never had a heart or there was no explanation as to how he was turned into a strong nobody (wish they did, he's a hot character. Tee hee hee), but Roxas made him feel like he had a heart.
So, if these beings called nobodies don't have hearts, wouldn't that make them... the undead or technically, ghosts?
Sorry, random thought typed aloud.
Anyway, this time, at end game (sorry to spoil), the one who gets their wish is Xemnas, the leader of Organization 13. And as for Maleficient... she is plotting revenge against Sora, but first... she is going to aquire the Castle Oblivion.
KH 1, 1 and a half, and KH 2 are available for the PS2 video gaming console.
All in all, these games, save for maybe the 1 and a half, are classics. Enjoy going through the best of the worlds that Walt Disney created and hear the voices right out of the movies!
Yes, you heard me! In Agrabah, one of the worlds visited, enjoy hearing Robin Williams as Genie and Gilbert Godfried as Iago!
And... for those who never knew this, but... thank you to Sean Connery who played as Wise Ansem in KH2! You had me stumped for a while dude!
Ha ha ha ha! What fun it is to hear these voices. Oh, and Eddie Murphy plays as Mushu the dragon in the Land of Dragons.
Classic I tell you!
