Between Stalkerchick and SilverShieldWolf Gazing at the stars with his head on his paws, Nox looked behind him at the little family he was friends with. They were all sleeping in a happy bundle while he stood watch. Of course, he didn't mind. Nox was quiet and protective, a guardian of sorts. But as the cool breeze played with his violet fur, Nox felt slightly different tonight. Instead of standing watch, he wanted to be off on his own, perhaps.
Leaping from the rock, Nox landed without a sound. Gazing at the constellations, he marked his way as he went, weaving through trees and clearings. The violet wolf wasn't sure where he was going, only that he liked the way the dry air filled his lungs. Tonight was a very peaceful night, and the stars and planets glimmered overhead like diamonds.

Gazer was feeling fidgety. It was a peaceful night, stars out even some of the planets were out, but there was something that made her want to move. One final flick of her tail, the female jumped from her spot under the tree.
She had only been in the area a little while and she needed to walk around in the night. Most others would be sleeping and this gave her a chance to find out who else was around. Gazer was not paying attention to where she was heading, letting her feet guide her over the rocks and grass. Her mind was mostly on the sky, and how she had the same shape moon on her leg as in the sky.

The crisp wind blew the dry leaves around Nox's paws loudly. It almost sounded like the waves on a beach, only he was in a forest, and the air didn't taste of salt. On the breeze, he caught an unfamiliar scent. Another wolf, that he hadn't sceneted in these parts before.
His guard snapped up, and he glanced behind him at the little family he had left sleeping, though not the little one; she would probably be off on one of her nightly adventures. Regardless, Nox wandered, though still slightly on the alert and keeping track of the scent as he went. If she got too close to the family, Nox could be back there in a flash.

She moved through the wind, her fur fluffed as she made it towards some more trees. The wind was getting cooler and she wanted out of it for a bit. She glanced at the trees, noticing that she hadn't been over here before.
The leaves made her a little jumpy. She knew there were other wolves in the area, but she was too timid to get close during the day. The cool air made her wonder if they would allow her to be closer to their den area. Taking a tentative step in the direction she thought they would be at, Gazer started her journey towards being social.

As he made his way to a place where the trees weren't quite so dense, it was almost as though he could breathe easier once he was allowed some moving space. Without realizing it, however, he had come closer to the female than he had been before.
The gentle breeze picked up and filled in the extra air pockets around Nox, though he enjoyed the cold. Having wandered (and chased Ashy) this whole wood before, Nox knew all the secret pathways that the forest hid, either with bushes or ledges. Deciding to take one of these tonight, he turned in the direction of the new wolf. Perhaps he could track her from the shadows, to get a hold on her intent, before he made judgment about her being a threat to his family.
Pushing his way effortlessly through a small gap between trees, Nox found himself in what had opened into a spacious, tunnel-like walkway. Breathing deeply, the fireflys bustled about, scatering when he came too close. It was truly a romantic scene, and for a moment, Nox felt a strong desire to share it with someone.

Stepping further into the path, she looked around, sure she had smelled another wolf close. Taking a deep breath, Gazer surged forward, for the night was truly wonderful. As her head dropped down, her ears swiveled, listening. Maybe they had one watching out for new wolves. Now she was just spooking herself with the thought of them being the attack first, ask questions after type.
Shaking her head and finding her resolve, the young female continued her way, looking towards the night sky..."Wait. I was just in the leaves." Her voice seemed to echo around her, louder than the whisper she spoke it in.

Nox's nose twitched, as the scent drew even closer. He could only hope that this wolf would understand he meant no harm and was just out on a night stroll. He also hoped that this wolf had not previously encountered Ashy; the little pup sure did know how to hide her scent, either by necessity or instinct. Shaking the thoughts from his head, he continued forward, gazing in wonder at the surrounding walls.
Just then he froze mid-step, having heard a voice. A female...Hrm. He padded forward cautiously, until she came into view, her image mirror the night sky. He smiled a bit at her, "The forest has all sorts of secrets." he remarked, puffing his chest out handsomely. If there was one thing Nox longed for, it was a family. "Hello there, my name is Nox. A beautiful little cavern, is it not?" he spoke in smooth tenors, sniffing at the fireflies that surrounded him.
