Country/Place of Origin: Sutrium Personality/Bio: I was born in Sutrium to doting, if unwise, parents and have never bothered about traveling anywhere, content to while away my time reading obtruse writings from all sorts of wierd people. After the rebellion of the Council, Sutrium isn't half bad, if what my parents say is true. I don't remember much about the Rebellion, nothing, in fact, since I was born five years after. My folks run a hospice on Main Way near the gates of the city. Got a couple of Talented healers here, straight from Obernewtyn, don't'cha know. It was suggested to me to travel to Obernewtyn by a friend of the family, one Kella. Nice lady. A healer. And an empath too, apparently, though that means little to me. She was rather shocked to find out that that 'Talent' of hers has little to no effect on me. I hear that has been unheard of until now. After some deliberation, I've decided to take up her offer, especially after she told me about the teknoguilder caves. After arriving at Obernewtyn I was a bit shocked to find just how big the place is and how many people live here. A right proper city in its own right, really. My abilities were tested, like they do to everyone, and again I had to wait until my examiners calmed down about my immunity to empathy. It was rather funny. Some people take so long to come to an obvious conlusion. They told me to pick which guild I'd like to join as a novice. It was dibbs between the coercers and the teknoguilders. I had to consult Milord, and he suggested that I chose the coercers, with one foot in at the teknoguilders. This was one of Milord's best ideas to date... I am inclined towards depression, but I can sing and dance practically any and all popular songs in the Land. Go figure. I'm told I also have the rather annoying tendency of talking and referring to Milord in the third person. Get used to it, sweetheart. Country/Place of Origin: morganna Personality: Kaida is quiet and prefers the company of animals to humans, and enjoys sending her mind flying over the landscape around her. When Kaida was 15 her younger brother, Jown, used his talent to calm two men in a fight, afterwards one of the men came up to her and suggested she, her sister and her brother head to obernewtyn. Her parents had no idea of their talents and were frightened of them, as they had grown up during the rebellion. We highlanders are a hardy bunch, and can usually take whatever life throws at us. Like I said, I’m friendly, but if other people can’t be bothered to be friendly towards me, then I won’t waste my time with them either. Life’s too short to waste time with unkind people. I love performing, but that takes on more of a physical nature. If I find myself with lots of people listening to what I’m saying, I tend to get a wee bit nervous and stumble over my words. I was a teenager when I first came to Obernewtyn, but I am able to visit my parents frequently due to their relative closeness. My primary Talents are Farseeking and Beastspeaking, and I have a small Coercing talent, too. Despite my relative lack of talent in the Coercing area, I’m part of the Magi, the group of performers made up primarily of Coercers and some Empaths who travel about the land performing. When the group first started they had to disguise themselves as gypsies, but now that the land is free, we don’t have to hide the fact that we are from Obernewtyn. My parents run an orchard in Darthnor, and that’s where I learnt a lot of my acrobatic abilities. The trees were my playground, and I used to bother the workers when I was small with my climbing. Living in the orchards is also how I discovered my Beastspeaking ability. I was cavorting around the streams one day when I made friends with a young otter. He was hard to talk to at first, but as we came to know each other better communication became easier. I later learnt that wild animals are much harder to communicate with that those who have been raised in proximity with humans, so I was lucky to be able to talk to him at all. My Master: Nynn

Theme Song Lily Allen: F U History/ Bio: Even though Peighton was born in one of the outlying villages, she moved to Sutrium when she turned twenty-one to fulfill her dreams of becoming an actress. The acting community of Sutrium, however, was less than enthusiastic about her talents. After a month of unsuccessful auditions she finally resorted to waitressing as a way to pay her rent. This did nothing to quell her desire. In fact, she used her time between orders to study the interactions between people, eying closely the way they reacted to certain events and news, and locking herself away in the kitchen after hours to practice the dialogues she'd heard during the day. After spending a year at the restaurant, she got fed-up enough to give acting another go and went to audition for a local play. To her surprise she was picked. The time she spent practicing payed off, and her role was a hit. After that she had no problem getting new parts to play, and once even had someone recognize her in the streets (okay, it was someone from her home village, but she'd gotten so good at acting, that she had no problem pretending otherwise). Every now and again while on the stage, she'd feel that she could judge the exact pitch of the audience's attention and act accordingly, winning them back quickly when their attention began to waver. She put this down to being sensitive. During a tour of a more-successful-than-usual play, the Company passed by Obernewtyn. Being of an inquisitive nature, Peighton left the company of her fellow actors to take a closer look at the much rumored misfit inhabitants. Being less than subtle with her entrance, however, she bumped (literally) into Blair Hammonay, who was walking the outer grounds, apparently lost in thought. Unable to come up with a speedy lie to explain her presence, she did what she always did when unable to get her thoughts straight. She told the truth (i.e. that she was snooping). After a somewhat shaky start, her relationship with Blair strengthened into an unlikely friendship, and by the time it came for the Company to leave, Peighton had already made up her mind to stay, as Blair had quickly convinced her that her 'sensitivity' might be something more. Though immersed in building her power to it's full potential, Peighton still practices her acting and dreams of becoming famous. My Master: catwings89

When not using his talents as a coercer to influence people, he uses his charms (which he believes are considerable) to get what he wants. When he was twelve his father made the questionable decision of leaving him in charge of the grocery while he went to make a quick delivery. A customer coming in, asked for yeast. Jumping off his stool, he ran back to the storage room only to find that they'd run out. Thinking quickly, he grabbed whatever was nearest to him and went back out front, placing it in front of the customer, saying that it was yeast. After looking confused, the customer had payed and left. Elated, Dorian continued to experiment with making people see things that weren't really there and found, to his extreme delight, that this ability of his got better with use. Unfortunately, he was less than discreet while trying them out. Customers and passers-by soon began to look askance at the young boy behind the counter, wearing his father's apron and giving them long stares.
