EASTER IN KOSOVO 1999
Thrown out of their country, home
sent out in the cold to roam
lines full of nameless faces
made to leave without their cases.
The human misery seems not to end
all we can do is find blankets to send
this should be a celebration of spring
but to them, what hope can it bring?
Children and families split and lost
the price of war in human cost
it seems so silly in this day and age
shouldn't mankind be past this stage?
