"Let this one end it!" Shouted a man over a crowd. They call carried swords and light armor. The one shouting had dark hair and looked to be in his twenties. He pointed a sword forward and shouted. "We will not go down! Charge! Attack! There is no such thing as mercy in war!" Exclaimed the man over the roaring crowd. They cheered back, and charged forward. He ran infront of them. The opposing army was at the end of the area. They wore heavy armor and carried swords with shields. The leader above them on a large floating stone shouted commands. He had a short beard and a crown rested on his head, it was tilted. His age was unknown, but he wore royal clothing. The army under him let out a battle cry, and charge in towards the approaching army. A small group of teen, all looking to be around fifteen or sixteen, watched the bloodshed erupt. Blades pierced in through those with light armor as if they were butter. Sparks flew as blades clashed against blades, shouting and cursing could be heard over the ringing noise of metal hitting metal.
"This...What the hell are they doing!?" Shouted one of the teens, he was Benkei. He wore ragged clothing, and had black hair. His fists were clenched and his eyes filled with anger. "It's slaughter!"
"And how do you suppose they get their freedom then?" Asked the girl beside him. She was Soyen, she, too, wore ragged clothing. She had brown hair that ran down her back.
"She's right Benkei. War is war." Said another girl, who was next to Soyen. She was Asa, and had dark red hair.
"But..."
"You wouldn't understand it, Benkei." Said an older man, that stood behind them. He was Banzo, he had dark blue hair and wore light armor. "They are fighting for something they want to protect. They are willing to do anything to achieve it."
"Master..." Said another boy, he was Moku. "They want freedom, right?" Asked Moku.
"Yes."
"So does that make them the good guys?" Asked Moku.
Banzo was silent. He sighed and leaned against a tree. He watched those in the light armor be slaughtered. 'I don't know, they have their reasons, and the kingdom has theirs."
"Can't we help them?" Asked Benkei. "They are getting slaughtered!"
"It was their choice to challenge the kingdom. It was their choice to even become a part of it. It's their fight, not ours."
Benkei was silent, he dug his fingers into the dirt, and gritted his teeth.
Soyen held out her hand. It began to glow, then Banzo grabbed her wrist to stop her. "I said we aren't going to help. It's not our fight." Said Banzo, as he let go. Soyen looked down.
"Then we just sit here and watch?" Asked Moku angrily. "It's genocide!"
"We don't have to watch." Said Banzo as he yawned. "Let's return back to the dojo and resume the training."
"Damn it! Damn it!" Shouted the man, as he saw his troops die before his eyes. He was Ryokan. He slashed through several enemy soldiers, and advanced deeper into the chaos. The king looked down at Ryokan with a menacing grin and bold eyes.
"Do not oppose me." Said the king loudly to Ryokan. He began to speed up. "I will allow you to keep living, if you back down." Said the king in an ignorant tone. Ryokan clasped his other hand around the hilt of his sword. "If you do not stop now, I will be forced to kill you and the rest." Said the king, his voice began to lower. Ryokan jumped from the ground into the air, and landed on the floating stone. "You still choose to oppose me?" Asked the king with a grin. "I suppose you haven't seen in me in combat then." Ryokan charged forward, a gash then appeared on his left arm. Then his right, then on both his legs. Blood poured out from him as he ran. The king vanished and appeared infront of him. Ryokan stopped, his entire body suddenly felt weak, and it felt like his bones were being crushed. He was then shot back, he flew over the two armies, he gazed down. The kingdom has won, his army was reduced to a mere thirty people. Now it was twenty, then ten, the last one fell over with a sword in his chest. Ryokan finally hit the ground and skidded across the dirt into the woods. The king ordered the army to follow him, and make sure he was killed. They obeyed and ran into the woods after him. Ryokan started crawling into a bush, and hid there. The soldiers and knights ran past him, all shouting to eachother and trying to find out if someone has found him yet. They didn't, so they went deeper into the woods. Deeper and deeper, until they came across a wooden shack. Where four students and a teacher trained. They looked at eachother and nodded. With their weapons ready, they advanced towards the door. It then opened before they could do it, and Banzo stood at the entrance.
"Hello."
"Let us in, we are searching for a criminal."
"And what makes you think he's here?"
"...Let us in, or we'll be forced to use violence."
Banzo only grinned. "I don't allow anyone in here, except my pupils. If you wanted it, you should of brought more then a hundred men." Said Banzo.

The soldiers rose their weapons, but stopped when Banzo laughed. "Just kidding, you can come search if you like." Said Banzo, as he stepped to the side to let them in. He glanced over at his students, his eyes told them they were to stay still and not do anything to upset the soldiers. After an inspection of the building, the soldiers left without a word. They mumbled to each other as they went down the other trails. Banzo sighed and closed the door. "See? They weren't so bad." Said Banzo with a shrug.
"What are they going to do to the rebel leader?" Asked Benkei.
"Probably kill him." Said Banzo.
Ryokan crawled to a tree, and sat up against it. He was breathing deeply, and blood poured out from his wounds. He dropped his sword when he was hit, he had no weapons now. The soldiers called out orders to each other, and split up. Ryokan looked around and grabbed a branch that fell. The tried to pick it up, but he couldn't. The wounds made his arm feel too weak. He could only sit and wait to be found and killed.
The king's floating rock slowly lowered, and he slowly took several steps to the edge of it. He then jumped off and landed on his feet, he twitched from the pain. "I can't show off my power like I used to...I'm getting too old." Said the king, as he walked towards the kingdom. The towers pierced the sky, and a wide castle was in the middle of it all. The kingdom stretched for several miles. The king walked in to be greeted by several knights. "Hello, my lord!" Said Gieche, he looked to be in his twenties. He had silver hair. His armor shined brightly because of the sun.
"Hello, Gieche." Said the king, with a sigh. "We have finished off the rebels, how are the searches regarding my son?"
"He has yet to be found."
"Damn." The king sighed and stroked his short beard. "When the soldiers get back from their hunt for the rebel leader, order them to look for him."
"Yes, my lord." Said Gieche, with a slight bow. Gieche turned around but was stopped.
"Also, please tell Amalgun to meet me in the throne room." Said the king, as he walked past Gieche.
"Yes, my lord." Said Gieche, as he made a turn and went down a hall. He came to a room with a man leaning back in a chair drinking water. He sighed and placed the glass on a nearby table.
"Long time no see, Gieche." Said Amalgun. Behind him was a large bow, and arrows littered the ground.
"The king requests that you come see him in the throne room."
"He wants to see me? That's a surprise." Said Amalgun.
"Yes, so please make haste. Don't make him wait."
"Alright." Amalgun rose from his chair, and the light shined on him. He had dark green hair that covered most his face. He looked to be in his twenties as well. He stretched and walked down the hall, leaving his bow and arrow behind. Gieche sighed and went off in another direction. Amalgun walked down the hall, he grinned and waved to the ladies that passed by, some smiled back, others gave him a disgusted look and looked away. His grin disappeared when he stopped at the large throne doors. He pushed them open, and saw the king already on his throne chair, towering high above the others in the room. Amalgun walked in slowly, and kneed before the king. "Hello, my lord." Said Amalgun, his tone sounded slightly arrogant.
"Amalgun, I believe you have heard."
"Heard of what, my king?" Asked Amalgun, as he raised his head.
"I have defeated Ryokan in battle today." Amalgun appeared shocked and lowered his head again. "I believe he was a friend of yours?"
"A war buddy." Said Amalgun, the arrogance in his voice was gone.
"Ah, well, I heard you two were awfully close, and held similar opinions?"
Amalgun nodded, and gritted his teeth.
"Don't follow in his footsteps." Said the king. "Continue to side with me, and you won't have to worry about an early demise."
"Yes, my lord." Said Amalgun, his heard was still lowered.
"Good, well, you are dismissed now." Said the king, as he beckoned him away. Amalgun rose, bowed his head, and left. He walked out of the throne room and closed the doors gently. He punched the stone wall, a small crack was left.
"Damn it...He always rushed into things...I told him..." Amalgun trailed off. "Oh well."

Gieche sat outside and saw the soldiers returning to the kingdom. They failed to find Ryokan. "Oh well, you have new orders now." Said Gieche with a sly grin. "You are to find the prince. He seemed to of wondered off again." The soldiers nodded, and marched back.
The dojo was glowing from every crack, then the glowing stopped. Banzo walked out and sighed. Benkei, Soyen, Moku, and Asa followed him, all four were exhausted. "You did good, was it the anger of watching those being slaughtered that gave you all strength?" Asked Banzo. They were all silent. "Remember, in this world, there is no good or evil. Judgement is a world used by those with too much power." Said Banzo. "As long as you believe your actions were of good intent, that's all that matters." They nodded.
"I'm going for a quick walk." Said Benkei with a sigh. He walked off. Asa grinned and turned to Soyen. Asa nodded to her, and Soyen blushed. She nodded back and followed Benkei, her face grew more red as she got closer.
"Benkei...?" Asked Soyen shyly.
"Yah?"
"Can I...walk with you?" Asked Soyen, she couldn't stop fidgeting with her hands."
"Sure."
Soyen smiled and followed him into the woods. Banzo sighed and looked down at Asa and Moku. "Soyen sure is brave, and she's making a move." Said Banzo.
"But Benkei's too much of an idiot to understand it!" Laughed Asa.
"You shouldn't be talking." Said Banzo.
"What do you mean?" Asked Asa, Moku's face grew red.
"Nevermind, you two have fun. I'm going to look for the rebel leader."
"Alright."
Benkei and Soyen walked through the woods. "The training sure was good today." Said Soyen.
"Yah, and tomorrow I'll beat him!" Exclaimed Benkei confidently.
"You can't beat him..."
"Don't crush my hopes!" Shouted Benkei, as he lowered his head and walked faster.
"I didn't mean it like that!" Soyen raced after him. "I meant that it'll just take a little longer."
"Pfft, I can do it"! Said Benkei, he rose his fist to the air. "Then I'm going after the king!" Exclaimed Benkei.
"What?!"
"The king must be the bad guy. He's the one who didn't let them have their freedom!"
"But you never know."
"Meh..." Benkei sighed, then stopped. A man about one or two years older then Benkei and Soyen was walking towards them. He wore the armor of the kingdom.
"You want to beat the king, eh?" Asked the man, a grin grew on his face. He unsheathed his sword.
"Of course!" Shouted Benkei. Soyen took a step back.
"He could be a knight from the kingdom, Benkei...It's too dangerous fighting him."
"If we double team him, then what could go wrong?"
"Benkei, just hold him off." Said Soyen quietly to him. Her hands and feet began to glow. "I'm going to get Banzo."
Before Benkei could say anything, she was gone. She was shouting for Banzo.
"She's a fast one." Said the man.
"Just focus on this fight." Said Benkei with a grin.
"Oh? Your going to fight me bare handed?" The man laughed, and held his sword at his side.
"Hehe..." Benkei snickered, and held out his hand. His hand began to glow silver. The man stepped back. A hilt suddenly appeared in the air, and Benkei caught it. A long steel blade grew out from the hilt, and shined.
"So you have that power..." The man grinned. Benkei already ran in at him. The blades clashed and sparks flew. The man was being pushed back by Benkei. The man jumped to the side, and slashed at Benkei evaded and then held the blade at the man's neck. "Well done...How would you like to be my ally?" Asked the man.
"What?"
"Please, withdraw your blade from my neck and I'll explain." Benkei hesitated, then the blade shattered and the pieces faded before they could reach the ground. "Have a sit on the ground."
Banzo walked along the dirt trail, he noticed the many neat footprints. He examined the ground as he walked, then stopped at a small puddle of blood. He grinned. "Hello, rebel." Said Banzo.
After five minutes, he heard someone. "Hello stranger." Answered Ryokan. Banzo looked over behind the bush at the tree and sat Ryokan there. "You don't seem to have their armor...Can I count you as an ally then?"
"I prefer to stay out of these kind of things." Said Banzo calmly.
"Then just offer me a little assistance? Just some healing." Said Ryokan.
Banzo looked over Ryokan. "I suppose." He helped Ryokan up and they walked to the dojo. When they got to the dojo, Ryokan leaned against the wall and Banzo sat in front of him. Banzo's fists began to glow and he pointed the palm of his hands at Ryokan. First the pain was gone, then the wounds began to close slowly. Banzo relaxed as the wounds finished healing. "Now can I ask you who you are? And why you challenged the king?"
"Well-"
"Banzo!" Shouted Soyen, as she pushed open the door.
"Eh? What?" Asked Banzo.
"Benkei's fighting a knight of the kingdom!"
Banzo jumped up, so did Ryokan. "Lead the way." Soyen nodded and raced off, and they followed. Moku and Asa shrugged and followed as well. They found the area. A sword rested against a rock, but no one was there. They were gone.

The man and Benkei walked in the open field toward the kingdom. "Why are we going to the kingdom?" Asked Benkei.
"Because it's where I live." Answered the man.
"So are you sure this will help?"
"Yes, join with me, and those kind of slaughters will stop. You and your friends will never have to witness such an act ever again." Said the man. He sighed when he saw the kingdom's soldiers run at them.
"Prince Klaus!" Exclaimed the knights, as they all kneed in front of the man. Benkei was shocked.
"That reminds me...I never did ask who you were..." Said Benkei.
"Hehe, I'm the prince. Prince Klaus." Answered the man.
"Who is the commoner following you?" Asked one of the knights.
"He is a talented warrior and will become a knight of the kingdom." Said Klaus in an annoyed tone. "And you will treat him as your superior."
"But my lord..."
"What is it?" Asked Klaus.
"He looks to only be a teen, younger then you!"
"And what's wrong with that?" Asked Klaus.
The knight sighed, "Nothing, my lord. Please allow us to escort you to the kingdom. Your father is worried."
"Fine." The knights surrounded them and walked towards the kingdom. Benkei was quiet the entire time. He looked through the gaps and saw the inside of the gate, the kingdom held several castles and buildings. The ground was made of smooth stone and knights walked along the road. Other nobles walked among them. They soon entered the castle and walked down the hall.
"It is great to see you back, Klaus." Said Gieche, as he walked closer to them. He nodded and the other knights scattered and went off in their own directions.
"I wish to see my father." Said Klaus.
"As he wishes to see you as well. But your commoner friend here stays outside the throne room." Said Gieche.
"No, he's coming with me. I wish to speak to father about allowing him to become a knight."
"B-But prince! He looks to be only sixteen!"
"Is there a problem?"
"Of course there is!"
"Well, we'll see what my father has to say. His words are certainly stronger then yours." Said the prince. Gieche gave him an angry glance and walked off in another direction.
"So you actually live here?" Asked Benkei, as he looked around the hall.
"Yes, and we'll be sure to find you a room."
"I'm staying here?"
"Of course, if your to become a knight, you must stay within the kingdom for training."
Benkei sighed, "fine, but are you sure this will end the genocides?"
"Of course, in time, the world will be as one."
They walked more in silence, until Benkei stopped. He looked at a girl in a long royal gown. She had long dark hair and held her head up. She gazed coldly at Benkei before walking away. "Who was that?" Asked Benkei, as he watched her leave.
"Princess Caline, my sister." Said Klaus.
"Oh!"
"Haha, so you have your eye on her?" Asked Klaus with a sly grin.
"I guess."
"Well good luck." Said Klaus with a shrug. They stopped at the large throne doors. "Now act as polite and respectful as you can." Said Klaus, as he pushed the doors, and they slowly opened. The king sat upon his throne, he was looking down at them.
"Welcome back, Klaus." Said the king, he still looked down at them.
"Father, I have a request." Said Klaus.
"You are in no position to be making requests after running away." Said the king coldly.
"But what if this request would aid the kingdom. To strengthen your reign?" Asked Klaus. Benkei looked over to him, Klaus grinned and nodded to him, and Benkei mumbled something.
"Does it deal with this boy here?" Asked the king.
"Yes."
"What makes this commoner important? How will he aid my kingdom?"
Klaus turned to Benkei and nodded to him. Benkei held out his hand. His hand began to glow silver. A glowing hilt manifested in the air, and floated there. The silver glow of the hilt went to the tip of the hilt then raced up. Behind the racing silver light, a steel blade grew until the light stopped and the blade formed a point. Benkei gripped the hilt of the sword. He grinned at the king, who showed little emotion. "Impressive." Said the king. "Who trained you, boy?"
"The best." Answered Benkei with a grin.
The king sighed, "while it's an interesting ability, does he have any skill in actual combat?"
Klaus opened his mouth but Benkei stopped him. "Order a knight to fight me, you can see for yourself then." Said Benkei. He thought of the king as a symbol of murder, he aimed to at least make the emotionless face change.
The king grinned as he glanced down at one of the knights at the room, and nodded to him. The knight nodded back and charged in at Benkei. The prince jumped back, and Benkei dashed at the knight. The blades clashed and Benkei quickly pushed the knight back. Benkei lunged his blade at the knight, but was blocked and the knight caught Benkei's arm. He threw Benkei up and stabbed at him. Benkei blocked and his left arm then began to glow. Another sword rose out from his hand and he held it at the knight's neck when he landed. The knight cursed and dropped his sword. Benkei's blades turned to silver dust, and faded before they reached the ground. The king's face was still the same. "Very interesting. Though it was only a novice knight, you showed ability I suppose." The king sighed. "You have my permission to stay and train as a knight."
Soyen and the rest sat back at the dojo. Soyen's face was covered in tears. "They must of killed him and took his body away!" Shouted Soyen.
"There was no blood, so he couldn't be dead." Said Moku.
"Not yet, anyway." Said Ryokan. "He may be a prisoner there."
Soyen's fists were glowing. "We have to help him."
"No, you know Benkei's strength, and his fighting style." Said Banzo. "Though he starts out calm, he grows reckless as the battle stretches on. There wasn't much disturbance there. He must of went willingly." Said Banzo.
"Why?"
"Benkei's an idiot." Said Asa, as she crossed her arms. "He's probably planning to destroy the kingdom from the inside."
"He wouldn't try-" Soyen stopped. "Well..."
"Benkei's an idiot with a sense of justice." Said Moku. "He probably plans to do it."
"Then if he can cause enough turmoil, we can enter and bring the king to his knees." Said Ryokan.

Benkei walked down the huge halls of the kingdom. He was told to leave while Klaus and the king talked. Benkei yawned, he had to use his power three times today, counting the training with Banzo. Gieche then spotted him. "Hello there, commoner." Said Gieche, as he approached Benkei.
"It's Benkei." Mumbled Benkei.
"So how did the meeting with the king go? Why are you still lurking?"
"He gave me permission to train as a knight." Said Benkei with a grin.
Gieche first showed no emotion, then a small grin grew on his face. "Well, congratulations." He snickered as he turned around and walked away.
Benkei scratched his head, and walked Gieche leave. Benkei continued his walk. He soon spotted Princess Caline in the distance, she sat in a cushioned chair and looked out the window. She watched the birds with a small smile on her face. "She doesn't look too hard to approach..." Benkei scratched his head again and began to think. "Maybe I should try to start a conversation..." He walked over to Caline, when Caline heard his footsteps, she turned and looked at him.
"...Hello bug." Said Caline in an arrogant tone.
"Bug? I have a name!" Exclaimed Benkei.
"Who cares, it wouldn't be worth remembering." Said Caline, as she turned around and looked back out the window. The small smile returned to her face when she saw the birds.
Benkei sighed, and scratched his head. "So you like birds?"
"Yes." Answered Caline.
"Can I watch with you then?"
"No bug."
Benkei sighed and turned around, and began to walk away. She glanced back, then returned to watching her birds.
Klaus walked out of the throne room, the king watched him leave. Klaus slammed the throne doors and stormed down the hall. Klaus saw Benkei sitting in a corner. "What's wrong?" Asked Klaus.
"Your sister is mean..."
"Oh, you shouldn't try to talk to her until you gain some status here. Don't worry, with the ability of yours, you'll be known through out the kingdom."
Benkei grinned and jumped up, startling Klaus. "Then it's settled! Let's start training!" Exclaimed Benkei.
