I'm not going to describe my entire life, but I am going to describe a situation so someone doesn't do something like I did.
Suicide. It's a word no one thinks they will do. Someone will hear someone do it, or hear someone attempt, and they go "Wow, why would someone just throw their life away like that?" Anyways, I have a friend. Her name is Justice. She is the only reason why I am still here today.
A few years back, my family was going through a major split-up. My sister was going to college, I was going to High School, and my parents where getting a divorce. This was an emotional time for me, and Justice was right there to help me. One day, my mother decided that she had enough of my father, and she stormed out of the house. I couldn't live without my mother-- I had just gone through puberty and without her, I didn't know how to.. err... put a tampon in, and my sister couldn't help me 700 miles away. This made me feel horrible, like not getting up horrible. Then my boyfriend broke up with me. Then Justice and I got in a fight. I'll spear you some dreaded details. Let's just say, we didn't speak. This brought me to suicide. I got out my fathers gun that he always kept, and right before I pulled the trigger, someone called me. I ignored it, but then I realized it was Justice. She wanted to make up, because she didn't like living without me either. I called her back, and told her she saved me. We haven't split up since.
I want you guys to know that suicide is never the answer, because someone really does love you.

I'm really glad you never pulled the trigger. I've met people who've attempted suicide or had loved ones who committed suicide, it's a very sad thing. Even though I don't know you very well.

good story. As a friend of people who have been commiting suicide I can say that yes, someone ALWAYS loves you. And although they might not know to put it into words, they care and would do anything to stop you from taking your life.

Don't consider it again, girl friend, because us in DALD would miss you like hell.

I've been down that road myself.
Best advice I can give is forgiveness. Forgiveness for yourself, forgiveness for your parents, forgiveness in general. Life can be extremely hard sometimes, cruel even. We sometimes expect that we're supposed to be something more than we are in order to get through it all, that we're all alone in a monumental struggle against the odds.
You just have to understand that you'll never live up to that image we create in our heads, and you'll have to forgive yourself for it. You'll have to remember that there's times where we don't know where we're going but we learn as we go. Yeah, we'll make mistakes and yeah, we'll make fools of ourselves and yeah, it's hard to stand on your own two feet and do everything you're expected to do, but you'll just have to forgive yourself for that as well. You'll have to forgive your parents for their divorce, for taking the path they need to take. And you'll have to forgive them if they aren't there to hold your hand anymore, only help you back up when you've fallen.
All that's a part of life and yeah it's hard, but it is what it is. You only suffer through the weight you yourself put on your own shoulders. So forgive, let it go, and start going forward.
And thanks to your friend as well. : )
Also, I cannot emphasize enough keeping compassion in your heart for all the people that want the same happiness, steadiness, love, and peace of mind you do.

I'm happy to hear that you have something to keep you alive. The only things keeping me around are my two closest friends, my Mother, and my music. Without them, I'd be gone for sure.

Suicide is a permanent fix to a temporary problem. That's what my Grandma told me many years ago when a friend of mine committed suicide. At the time I thought Grandma was being cruel. As I got older, I understood what she meant.
I'm glad that your friend came through for you. Good luck and remember, nothing is as bad as it seems at the moment. Things can change very quickly if you give them a chance.
