◆ The History of Roanor ◆
Roanor was not at all the country it is now, the gods and goddesses helped create the world as it is today. Roanor was once a place of great panic, disarray, and terror. Everything, even the elements, seemed to be against the other. This terror was the eventual cause for the divine beings of this world to be created. To come into existence as the world found them necessary, the first of these beings was Anrotheni and Koranis, the twin goddesses of light, but within every light there is a shadow and thus the three triplet brothers were born into existence. One after the other once roles for them were deemed necessary did they come to be.
The gods then created the second-born, beings mortal and immortal alike to worship them. First, the elves. Then humans, dwarves, dragons. Slowly, the world came to be and for many thousands of years there was peace.
And then, for reasons not known or remembered, the goddess Koranis was cast out of the Pantheon and became the embodiment of darkness. She corrupted a group of elves now known as the Dark Elves, or the Quero'nai. She then created the Kornaks and Dark falcons to wreak havoc on the creatures of light.
But this was not enough. No, the goddess wanted dominion over all of creation, and the country of Roanor seemed the best place to start. She corrupted an Elven general by the name of Silaedron Dur'in Rhuivathar and used him to take the throne of Men.
