(First off, I haven’t played either Dead Space 1 or 2. This is just by what I have seen and heard)
Is it me or do Dead Space and L4D have a lot in common?
The names, Left 4 DEAD, DEAD Space
The monsters/infected/whatever the hell they are in dead space and the zombies/infected in L4D look a bit the same, act the same and die the same.
Hell, the Tank and Bruit look so much the same, when looking at a dead space 2 game, I thought I was a tank. They act the same to, charging up to you to smash with its over sized hands
Then again, the dead space man dies much better than the survivors in L4D, all gory and painful... mrgreen
What do you lot think and should I get Dead Space (1 or/and 2)?

I think you should get both of them. Fun? Check. Gory? Double check.
Scary? Checkx9000
Also I don't think that you should really count the word dead being in both titles as them being similar...I mean the guy uses futuristic weapons, It's set on a huge a** space ship If I remember correctly, and he fights like...aliens I think... So I think, in more detail, dead space = 3rd person futuristic left 4 dead in space....on crack
