The setting: The world is the world is recovering from a war between humans and demons. Right now both sides are equal and each side searches for an artifact that could give them complete victory. The item for the demon's is an ancient staff that has a ruby gem in the center of the top of the staff. For the humans it is a sword that holds a sapphire gem in the hilt. Each item is hidden so each side is searching for their own artifact to try and be the first to get it and wipe out the other race. There is a third item though that neither side is bothering with. It's an orb that holds a ruby gem, sapphire gem, and a yellow gem inside it's bars and when placed on a sacred alter it will destroy both items which would either bring a forced peace or a never ending war.
Races: Demon, Human
Rules: Be creative
Multiple character control is allowed
No God Moding or auto killing another person's character
Be literate with full words
Spell words to the best of your abilities
Be polite
No cursing if can be avoided and if do curse nothing huge as this is PG-13 website

The sky was clear in the day, a human prince readied his armor, a sword strapped to his hip. "Sire, you sure you wish to venture out?" an adviser asked watching the prince named Roy.
"Yes. I must head out and locate the ancient sword. With it we can defeat those foul demons and bring peace to the world." Roy responded. The adviser sighed shaking his head as Roy placed on his helmet.
"Sire but what of your parents? You know they disapprove of you placing your life in danger."
"Oh they will be fine. They have my sister as a back up in case I die." Roy said calmly. The adviser was pale and sighed shaking his head again.
"Sire I cannot allow this misconduct to take place."
"Oh so you'd like to take my place and search for it with demons roaming around?" Roy asked looking to him smirking when he saw the adviser's face fall. "I thought not. Now then, help my parents and sister keep the country in line and safe. I'll be back once I find the ancient sword and return with it." Roy said, walking to his noble horse, mounting it and rode off. The adviser watched, falling to his knees.
"That boy will be the death of me." The adviser said watching the 16 year old Roy ride off out of the castle gates and through the town till he was out of sight. Roy rode on, leaving the town to start his search at some ruins that were north of the capital, hoping there would be a clue there as to the ancient sword's whereabouts.
Roy as he rode hoped that thieves hadn't discovered the blade and also hoped that demons had not yet found it, knowing it only worked in human hands. His short brown hair blew back out of his brown eyes. He smiled as he kept aware, glancing around as the horse went down another path, keeping up it's speed for some ways before moving into a trot to rest up as it continued for the ruins.

"you being a half-breed can adapt well in the society of humans, this will be a great advancement for the demon world" and tall well-formed man said as he was examining his beautiful creatures, pure demons, ones that did not know right from wrong, and only killed, for fun. Kai twitched as the little creatures licked their lips at the little lady of 15. But she still proudly looked on bowed and said
"yes my lord, what do you want me to do?"
he sneered and replied
"I want you to watch the prince Roy and make sure he never finds that precious sword."
Kai let out a little growl but said
"yes my Lord."
and left.

Why is it that I always get the incredibly boring jobs? Many people of my skill get to assassinate kings and generals but I, I get to follow a stuck-up 16 year-old prince.
Kai thought as her tail twitched impatiently her cat ear flicked at the sound of hooves. Kai looked closely at the horse and it's rider, it was her target.
Well, I found him, but I really don't want to run behind him in the trees all the time, I guess I just have to do it this way....
Kai, a high commander in a small fleet of half-demons, quickly morphed into her cat-like appearance, annoyed with the fact that her earrings felt uncomfortable on her ears. As the boy rode closer, she noticed his nice complexion in the sun,
Well here it goes
And Kai pounced on the young boy in a fright.
"NYA~~!"

Roy yelped the horse rearing back in fear as he moved so the cat missed him and grabbed it behind the back of its head. "Whoa! Calm down kitty!" he said quickly and sighed, petting her and worked to calm her before holding her close. "There, there, you're alright. You're safe. Where's your owner or are you a stray? You sure are well fed so you can't be just a stray. Come on, I'll take you to the next town and let you be with the animal shelter there to keep you safe till your owner is found. I'm on a dangerous trip right now." He said petting her and began to slowly ride on as the horse had calmed down.

Kai sat there, tail twitching as the began to ride she mewed and purred on him rubbing her head against his stomach
I gotta get him to keep me. There is no way I am staying in a filthy cage for someone to fed me and give me a drink.
she purred and purred trying to pluck a heart string, they began nearing the village.

Roy looked down to her and chuckled. "aw are you a cute one?" he asked her smiling and began to stroke her head then back, scratching her softly behind the ears. "You are a sweet one."

yes yes yes yes yes yes! He's buying it!
She let out a loud purr and gave a cat-ish smile.
If I can stay with him on him trip I can make sure he never gets that sword.
As Kai laid there purring she began to start a plan for revenge against her employer. Thinking of ways to get back at him.

He chuckled petting her behind the ears and smiled to her. "Oh you like that do you kitty?" he asked smiling petting her more. "You are so cute that I'd hate to give you up at the town but I have to. You will get hurt being with me." He said smiling to her, rubbing her below her chin.

oh no!!!! Im not going into a cage again!
and she undoubtedly hissed without thinking, her hair raised and she jumped from his lap to his saddle bag, digging her claws into the leather, trying not to transform
Gotta stay calm gotta stay calm! if this doesnt work, Im good at stalking
and with that she smiled and jumped off the saddle bag and raced into the woods.
she waited for him to continue with his journey toward town.

He paused looking at her run off confused sighing. "I'm sorry kitty. I hope you live out there." He said sighing feeling bad and rode on looking ahead.

she watched him as he padded to the town and as the guard was about to ask a toll and suddenly bowed low as the boy rode into town, Kai jumped into the alley ways still keeping close eye to the boy. she padded along, dodging little girls hands as the boy stopped and got off his horse

(yes that is fine, you did not do any major actions with him so that is fine. I shall edit this post and make my reply in the morning 3nodding )
Roy looked around the town as he rode slow nodding. "This place is nice. How about something to eat my friend?" he asked the horse that nayed and he went over to a stable area, dismounting and tied his horse to a spot and got him some hay. The horse ate as Roy went over to a Inn that was next door. Going inside he looked around the busy room, moving to a table he sat, looking over a menu when a waitress handed it to him. Placing his order the waitress left, leaving him as he looked around the room, listening to the chatting that in a way was like music or at least to his ears it was.

seeing where the prince had gone Kai decided that it could be a good idea to-
her stomach growled loudly, she hadn't eaten since she left the demon kingdom. I should go eat while I watch him
She transformed getting up from being on her hands and knees, she brushed off the dust and twigs from her clothes, checked her money purse and began to walk toward the small village. She hid form the guards and got over the wall that blockaded the village. she stepped through the Inn's doors and sat herself down at the table next to a big window.

(Oh dear I did sweatdrop It has been a very busy week and day today sweatdrop )
Roy waited, looking around, not noticing her yet. His food and drink came and he thanked the waitress and began to eat, humming some as he was liking how the food tasted.

(haha you are fine. 3nodding no worries. wink I did it a lot with my other rp so it's all good. I can totally understand.)
The same waiter came to Kai's table and she smiled having small-chat with the waitress. "I'll just have anything you can get me with a couple of coins." She said with a smile and the waitress nodded and walked away. While Kai waited she looked out the window, looking at the people and the surroundings. How it was so much alike...and yet different to her own part of the world. The waitress gave her a decent looking meal and Kai dung in, her stomach growling. She ate fast and loud. creating some unwanted attention.
