❧Cil'Mareth
This is the majestic capital city of the elves. Citizens here live in elegant houses constructed of moon stone that emit an ethereal glow. The city is bustling with life and activity, however most citizens are mistrustful of any human travelers and tend to distance themselves from them. In the very center is the breathtaking Malondil castle.

The trees whispered words of warnings to her of guards approaching her. She quickly hid in the shadows of the dense trees around her. The night was dark with barely any moonlight streaming through the patches in the trees. She could hear the creatures of the night move about the forest. An owl gave a hoot as the guards approached, their torchlight throwing dancing shadows across the trees. Even with their light the guards wouldn't be able to see her, she'd dressed specifically so she would blend more easily with the forest. She was wearing dark tan pants with thick leather boots. Her shirt, a dark green and baggy, slightly tucked into her pants. She had a sword attached to her hip and a quiver of arrows and a bow around her back. You couldn't see these due to a night black cloak tightly wrapped around her. After a moment the guards and their dancing shadows past.
"So you're reallly going through with this?" A dark, rumbling voice came from the darkness of the trees. Startled Cal looked and watched as a large white wolf stepped into the feeble moonlight. Taking a deep breathe to calm her sudden nerves she said determinedly, "Yes, I am." She softened a little. "It's something I need to do Senar. I'm tired of this place. If I stay here I'll suffocate." For a long time the only noise was that of a gentle night. Senar turned away from her. "I'll show you an easier way out." He stopped and turned slightly towards her. "I hope you know what you're doing Cal," he said. Calsyel nodded and followed him into the darkness, not truely knowing what was waiting for her. Out of Character: Exit to Queros Nordor

Jack had made himself scarce around people, they were weird to him and he was honestly frightened of some of them. He had gone to a bunch of trees and done his daily ritual, generally he did it every day anyway, and using his fathers short swords he quickly and expertly cut into four trees the symbols of his patron god. Unfortunately that was the only thing he knew how to do with those swords, they were ritual blades, but nobody else really knew that. They were made of silver and honestly they were sharp as a razor, they also kind of scared him, he was always afraid he would cut himself or lose a finger. The point of the ritual was to create a miniature temple sanctuary, and he set them up all the time. There must have at least been a thousand of them floating around, not even counting the ones he had been putting down on the ways to Cil'mareth, so now he sat in the little sanctuary praying silently.

"Since the day I was born I've always been lucky, and since my sixteenth birthday I have devoted my life to the god of fortune. Everyday, I pray to him and ask for his favor. I haven't missed a day in more years that I remember, and I also try to spread his sanctuary's reach and find tranquility in them. My father told me once as long as I reside here no harm may come to me...I don't know if I really believe that...but I owe my god enough as it is to just do this whenever I can." He broke his concentration the whole time he spoke, while still praying internally.

He stopped praying and laughed, "Well, I come from the patron city of the god, and he is indeed male in aspect. Though gods can be anything they want, I don't use gender when praying, only by name do I call, and nobody has ever attacked me while I've been inside of the sanctuary. I doubt they will either. I tend to only do it in a calm safe area, not that I can't do it in a moments notice if I need to. I could pull it off in a moments notice really...I'm pretty handy at creating the sanctuary's. It's about the only thing I can do with any real skill with a sword." He sighed.

Feron was praticing his forms in a clearing when Miri passed. He sheathed his sword silently and went to pick up his discarded tunic, but thought better of it. He followed her and hid behind a large tree to spy on her, feeling strangely like a hormonal teenager again. Then, smirking, he left his place behind the great pine and cleared his throat.

Mellia silently took her place beside him. She drew her knees up to her chin and softly sighed. They had not spoken more than necessary since that day nearly two months ago... she feared she had hurt him. She had spoken nothing but the truth, but still.
She peered at him from the corner of her eye, almost afraid to say or do anything. Moonlight illuminated his well chiseled features. She strained to ingrain his every feature in her memory. His beautiful eyes looking into the distance, his unshaven jaw peppered with stubble, his lips... Her heart started doing little flips and she looked away, blushing. Thank gods for the darkness of night.
The goddess Amarwen had been cruel to her. Mellia had fallen--fast and hard-- in love.

"If I die doing what I do then its whats going to happen and there's no escaping it. I wouldn't change this part of my routine for anything, this is the only thing in my life I could never compromise. My devoutness has given me more than anything else in the world."

"Oh, not too much," Feron said, casting her one of his trademark smirks. "See, all I wanted was a quick bath, when to my surprise I see beautiful you bathing here. My appoogies, Lady." He bowed and made to leave.
~*~
Mellia stared afte him for a few moments, shocked. Then she tossed aside her sword, boots, and jerkin and dived after him. It registered in her mind that her tunic was white and he had just pointed out his superior vision, but it was too late now.

"I've already told you about the bean thing, but there's so much more, like the lights. I may have missed epically when I tried to hit them with a rock, but the tree I hit, a limb fell and crushed them. Things like that have protected me and given me fortune all of my life. you may not see it since you haven't lived my life, but I do. Every day, fortune and luck, it flows like wind, and the wind has always blown at my back, and it's kept me safe."
