Welcome to an offline roleplay! Just like the title, we're starting from the very beginning. Meaning, if you join the roleplay, you start at level one. No exceptions, unless you plan on playing an important NPC. I guess I'll allow that too. Or you could start as a Death Knight, although I don't recommend it.
Everyone will have their choice of races and classes. I'd prefer we all started as Alliance characters, though, for the sake of teamwork. It's your choice. Cataclysm changes apply to everything. Everyone starts in their race's respective starting area. I don't mind if you have more than one character, so long as you can keep track of them all!

Rules

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I guess this place needs rules.

1. Follow Gaia T.O.S.! That's sort of a "duh" thing.
2. Follow guild rules, obviously.
3. Send profile skeletons to me in a pm, please!
4. Try and make your post's layouts nice looking. Like, fancy, you know? I like unique.
5. Be very active! No one likes a one-post-then-gone-forever person. If you're going to be gone for awhile, make a post in the OCC thread saying that. Post four times a week, or every day even! PLEASE!
6. Romance is fine, but keep it PG-13. Don't even take that to pms! Time-skip or something. No one wants that stuff in the forums, pervs!
7. Violence is obviously inevitable. But ABSOLUTELY NOOO killing other characters unless you have BOTH pm'd me saying that it is OK!
8. BE IN CHARACTER! No one likes it when you're all cute one sec then your really nasty and mean the next. Seriously.
9. LITERACY, PEOPLE! Come on! First of all, I don't understand text talk. Second of all, no one likes roleplaying posts like Y0 W|-|@T UP |-|0|/|!3S?! That's annoying and freaky, so no "u" and "y" and "ur" and "r" and "ty" and other abbreviations. We're civilized people.
10. Spam. NO NO. Seriously. No advertising in the forum!! Get real.
11. ZERO GODMODDING!!! Everyone HATES it when a person dodges all attacks and is immortal and other crud like that. NO WAY! Zip, zero, zilch! If I catch you godmodding you will be kicked from the roleplay!
12. The rules of resurrection still apply, but if you're left for dead for two weeks you can probably assume that yeah, you're dead for good. I'll be nice, though. You can only walk back to your corpse the old-fasioned way once a week. No more! Sort of like a hearthstone cooldown, only the cooldown refreshes every Sunday at noon.

That's pretty much it, but I'll add if I think of any more. Suggestions welcome, by all means!

Profile Skeleton

This is your profile layout! I won't accept profiles that aren't in this layout!
The profiles have rules too. All players must start with 0g 0s 0c in their bags, but I'll be nice with bank balance. All players' banks will have 5g 0s 0c in them for withdrawal. Players' bank balances can only be changed if their character visits a bank in the story. Mounts can't be summoned, you must visit a stable to take them riding. Feel free to change the contents of your inventory as your character levels, but all characters start with the items listed below. Characters also start with the same items equipped as they would in the game, according to their race/class.

To submit your profile, PM me this document with all the info plugged in. When I reply "Accepted biggrin " you can post your profile in the profiles thread! Make absolutely sure that you update your profile as the story continues, or else people will be confused. No one likes ninja-afk-ers in the game, right? Same basic principle.

The IN-GAME Option

Naturally, this is a roleplay about World of Warcraft. If you people that join are so obsessed with this roleplay and just can't get enough, make a character of the name/race/class combo specified in your profile on the RP realm "Thorium Brotherhood". I have done so already in the hopes that any that join here will be able to continue this roleplay in realtime, so to speak. We'll make a guild called or something!

Tweaks

Of course, we can't roleplay EXACTLY how we do in the game. We have special standards.

1. Players can only run back to their corpse to resurrect once a week. The cooldown refreshes every Sunday at noon CST. If you go a whole week without dying and having to run back to your corpse, you can resurrect in this way twice the next week, like credits. If you want, you can keep track of your Rez Credits in your profile.
2. In the Underbog, an instance in Outland, we find out that a druid has been taken as a pet by a very powerful hunter. To make the RP a tad more interesting and/or dangerous to druids, hunters at levels 84 and up can attempt to tame druids that are lower levels than them, so long as the druid is in animal form. The hunter can NOT by any means tame the druid in humanoid form, which includes Tree of Life and Moonkin forms.
3. Mounts cannot be summoned from thin air. To take one out for a ride, a player must first visit a nearby stable. (Barns and such in hostile territory do not count!)
4. All of the Cataclysm changes apply, except that hunters still have Volley, and druids' Tree of Life is still a form, not a cooldown. (I was pissed with those changes, so I'll be nice about them here! biggrin )
5. Players can have a maximum of 5 characters in the roleplay, so long as they can keep track of them all. Players must fill out profile skeletons for every character that they enter in the roleplay.
