My name is Keith, I am 23 years old I have unlocked a terrible power upon the world in hopes to control it. It defied me and is searching for one individual whom does not know it, but they have something that will release the creatures, setting them loose on the rest of the world. If I am to gain control of the beasts, I must send what little of a force I have left after the individual. A fragment of a powerful orb allows me to control these few monsters. Soon I will find the other pieces and reunite them. Then I will open a portal into the other world, from there I shall wreak havoc! My name is Keith. I am you.

My name is Kate. I am 20 years old. I have no clue who I am. I feel as though something is following me and haunting me, just waiting for the moment that I slip up so it can sink it's claws into my flesh. Many creatures are around and they seem aggressive. I have no weapons and don't know how to fight the creatures. I wish there was a way out of this.

I opened my eyes and looked around. The stone walls emitted an ominous feeling, one I had not felt in what seemed like an eternity. Slowly, I got to my feet for I had been laying on my back on the cold hard floor. Hand supporting me, I felt something beneath my fingers. A note. I brought it up to my face and read it. It seemed familiar, the story that it told. Gruesome images flashed through my mind of monsters and death.
A growling sound came from my right and I turned my head to investigate. There, as tall as a man, but nothing like I had ever seen before, not that I could remember anyway stood before me. It's skin was an eerie pale white, its limbs wrapped in what looked like barbed wire, and the hands were curved into claws. Worst of all, the face. It's eyes were devoid of like and it's mouth looked as though the jaw had been broken. It stood there watching me, making no hostile moves.
I didn't remember ever feeling that afraid, but at the same time I was comforted. I knew this creature would not hurt me. It was as though it was waiting for me to speak. "What are you?" I asked the creature. It stood there as though it had not head me. "Answer me!" I said louder. this time it replied with another unearthly sound. It started to walk toward me and I paniced. "Stop!" I threw my hands up in front of me to shield myself from the horror. To my surprise the monster stopped.
Was this the monster that the note had explained to me? Was it under my control? And what of this orb fragment? I searched through my pockets, only to realize there was something jutting out of one. A small blue piece of what looked like crystal or glass. It was the piece of orb. "You have to obey me...don't you?" memories filled my head, I didn't quite remember everything but I regained my thirst for power. I knew what I had to do.

Kate's eyes flickered open slowly and she put a pale hand to her head and one to her stomach. She felt terrible. Kate slowly sat up, which proved to only make it worse. She felt like she had been hit by a truck and wanted to puke. Kate looked around with confused eyes. She had no clue where she was. For that matter, Kate had no clue who she was. Kate looked around a look of fear coming to her eyes. She stood up quickly and immediately wished that she hadn't. Kate slid back down to her knees and put her hand on her forehead. "Ugh...." Kate muttered softly. She really did feel terrible. Kate sat there like that until the pain slowly ebbed away and Kate began to feel better. She slowly stood up and looked around. "Wh- Where am I?" Kate said somewhat calmly. She normally was able to easily stay calm. Kate didn't seem to recognize anything and began to try and think back. Kate found herself unable to remember anything. Kate silently cursed and then slowly began to walk around. She wanted to try and find someone who knew where she was or better yet, who she was.

I crossed the room to a door that was slightly ajar. Beyond it I heard mysterious sounds. I opened it slowly, my fear disappearing. There in front of me, several more of the pale, barb covered creatures. Their breath puffing out in clouds despite the warm temperature. I walked forward and they created a path. I was beginning to like what I was seeing. It was as though I was a king. Though I knew that not all the creatures in the castle were under my control. "You," I said, pointing to the creature that had been in the room with me when I awoke, "Stay with me." I turned back to the small audience and pointed around the room at the three doors. "The rest of you, search the castle for our guest, bring her here...Alive if possible." There would be no harm done if she was killed by one of my minions, but I much preferred getting the orb fragments myself, possibly persuading her to join my cause in the process.

Kate continued to walk along slowly and calmly. She scanned the area with her calm eyes. Kate soon began to realize that she was in a rather large building. She finally spotted a window and looked outside of it. After she saw that she was in a castle she backed away with a frightened look. Kate looked around somewhat wildly and quickly. She had to get out of there. If the window had been lower to the ground, Kate would've attempted to jump and get away, but she knew that it would be suicide to jump from the height she was at. Kate continued walking around. She wondered why she couldn't remember anything and where she was. Kate also had the strange feeling that something was either following her or watching her. Kate stopped for a moment and rested her back against the wall. She needed to find something to defend herself with. Kate wanted to get out of there as soon as she possibly could, but she saw no harm in carrying something to protect herself with.

I had a good idea where the girl might have been. It would only take a moment to get there from my location. Though with the other creatures walking the halls it would prove difficult. I opened the furthest door and flinched at the creaking. I imagined it was a very old building, my building. The art on the walls was faded and the floor was littered with paper and debris. I proceeded quietly and my minion followed. It wasn't as careful as myself, but the other beings would no doubt believe it was one of their own kind. That would bring an important advantage. I passed through a large arch onto a balcony of a sorts. It was, what I would estimate, to be about four stories high. I peered over the edge and as I had guessed, the girl was there. If I was going to catch her, I would need to get her to come toward me, up the stairs and through the various levels of the castle. Looking around, I found a bookshelf and plucked a book from it. I threw it with care and it landed near a door in the room below. Hopefully it would deter Kate from going that way.

Kate looked around calmly. When she heard a noise she jumped and then looked around after balling her hands up into fists. She looked around, expecting something to come out and attack her. Kate looked around, staying still for a long amount of time before slowly moving in the direction of the noise. She figured that it could be someone that wouldn't hurt her and could give her answers. She walked slowly towards the noise, being careful to make no noise herself. When she saw that it was just a book in front of a door, she took the book and held it calmly. She figured that it would have to do as a weapon until she found something that could be more useful. Kate scanned the area and then walked away from the door before walking back to where she had been earlier. It seemed safe enough for the moment and Kate wished to try and remember anything that she could possibly remember at the moment. Kate closed her eyes for a second and tried her best to remember, but she found it impossible and opened her eyes again calmly.

I felt anger flooding through my veins. It seemed the girl wasn't easy to frighten. That left one thing left to do. reach extreme measures. I looked at my creature and pointed down at the first story floor. Without any consideration of the height it jumped off the ledge, falling like a dead body. It landed in a heap on the ground only about five feet from Kate. It stayed still for a moment and I had started to wonder if I had killed it. My thoughts were proved wrong when the creature raised itself to it's feet, the bones cracking back into place and the dead eyes opening. It made an inhuman sound at the girl and went toward her, limping as fast as it's deformed body could carry it. "If you value your life then you will give me the pieces!" I called down to her. I felt the anger coming off of me in waves as if it was changing the very air around me.

Kate heard the noise and turned quickly and faced the monster. Fear rushed into her for a moment before she saw that the creature remained unmoving. Kate stood at a ready position to run away while she watched it. When it charged at her Kate yelped in surprise and chucked the book at it's head before moving out of the way quickly. She dodged the creature's first attack and glanced up at Keith. Kate had a look of confusion on her face as she turned her sight back to the creature. She had no clue what Keith was talking about. She bit her lip before quickly trying to run away. Kate went to the door that she had found the book in front of and quickly ducked inside the room. She locked the door's lock and then moved away from the door while franticly searching for something that would help her defend herself.

I watched the girl duck into the room and pounded the stone railing in anger. An odd sensation flooded my mind. it was like there was something sharing what space I had in my conscience. I looked down to the creature and saw it pounding on the door as if in anger. I felt the frustration flowing to me. I had never shared a mind with someone else and it was a wondrous feeling. Somehow I knew that it was thinking and feeling without verbal communication. I wanted to get the the floor below but there was no route without traveling almost the entire castle. A loud bang snapped me out of my thoughts. The creature had knocked the door down. "Stop!" I ordered. I wanted the girl to travel through the castle and eventually work her way up the floors. The creature back away from the door with another inhuman sound and walked away, through another door that lead to a round about stairwell. It would find me soon enough but in the mean time I would have to make a plan to aquire all the fragments of the orb.

Kate saw the door get broken down and quickly started sprinting away from it and towards another door. She opened it without even looking back and ran through it before slamming it shut and locking it again. Kate had started to breath heavily and sunk to her feet, not hearing the creature pursuing her any more and not seeing anything in the halls. Kate soon began to mutter to herself, "The pieces? What is he talking about? Does he know who I am?" Kate looked around and shoved her hands into her pockets. Kate looked surprised when she felt something in her pocket. She took out a piece of the orb and looked at it. "What's this?" Kate said to herself. She looked at it with curiosity before shrugging and putting it back into her pocket. She didn't know what it was, but she knew that it wouldn't be a good idea to give it to that guy. Kate looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when she spotted a suit of armor that had a sword on it. Kate wasn't sure if the sword wound do anything, but she would feel better to have something in her hands that could pose a threat. Kate walked over to it calmly and took the sword before looking around. She needed to keep moving.

((This isn't the real feel of the game but it's a bit of funny stuff. It kinda shows the creature I was talking about but I thought you might like it. razz Beware though there is swearing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loSzpvq73FY))I turned on my heel and back tracked for a few minutes. I had a vague memory of the layout of the castle. I knew where the main stairways and halls were but any smaller sections where beyond my understanding. I proceeded down a dark hall, ignoring the hundreds of insects that had claimed it as their home. I heard sounds that I knew wouldn't have been produced by the creatures under my control. I stayed away as best I could. I didn't know if I had any special talents but I didn't want to try unless in dire peril. I turned a corner and fell back in agony. The ceiling had collapsed, causing boulders to fall and nearly crush me. Growling followed, it had been the same noise I had heard in the previous hallway but it was close. My muscles tensed and I pushed myself to my feet and on the way up I grabbed a rock. I knew that the creatures were capable of. I knew they couldn't be killed. I threw the rock through the hole in hopes it would draw the source of the sound away. I then took off at a slow and quite sprint. The torches on the walls had been put out by the sudden gust of wind and it left me nearly blind. I stumbled through the darkness until I reached another door. I entered and closed it behind me.

( rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl That's hilarious!!!!)
Kate continued to walk along calmly and quietly. She wanted to stay as quiet as possible and not attract any attention to herself. Kate eventually found a stair case that went up. Kate bit her lip and was about to back track when she heard a loud noise that sent chills up her spine. Kate turned around quickly and held her sword in a defensive position. Kate watched the creature charge and then realized that she'd rather take the chance of going higher up than fighting the creature. Kate didn't even know how to use a sword. It seem to be instinctive to her, but she didn't want to take the chance. Kate sprinted up the stairs, taking two at a time and quickly got away from the creature. Kate looked around wildly and then sighed softly. She stood still for a moment to catch her breath and then slowly continued on her way.
