Eh, if not for the fact that wahmbulance PUPPY SAM IS BACK ROTIHRTJHIJRTOJRTJHIORTOJHIOHJRTO wahmbulance and for Dean's sword in the stone antics, I wouldn't have enjoyed this. I mean Bobby was annoying, Cas was frustrating and mean at times, the villians were bland and weak(they barely even spoke or showed character, wtf?), the reveal of the big bad wasn't even threatening (SEE LILITH, SHOW. SHE DID CREEPY GIRL RIGHT)..... I liked Bobby's friend, She was funny and had character. But the rest? Eh.....

Review time!
*sigh* I've missed this. . . . . .
Ok, I'm going topic by topic.
Sam's Soul!
So happy to finally have old Sam back! I just loved all the moments throughout the episode where Sam would do something sweet and kind and Dean would just get this adorable look on his face. 4laugh He's so happy to have his brother back, and so am I!
But I have to admit, the clincher for me wasn't Sam's personality returning. It was the fact that, when they were battling the dragons (I still giggle when I say that) and Sam had to choose between killing the dragon he was fighting to keep him from escaping and saving his brother, he chose Dean. Soulless Sam would have let Dean fend for himself and kept the other dragon from escaping (which, considering what happened at the end of the episode probably would have been the practical thing to do...), but our re-ensouled Sammy saved his brother and the bond that we have missed so much for so long is back in place!
Hooray for brotherly love!
Cas
Loved that Cas was the one to tell Sam about what he couldn't remember. That angel is clueless, but I love him.
Also, a few days ago, I was talking to someone who shipped Cas/Sam, so that was sitting in the back of my mind during this episode. But when Cas went to hug Sam and Sam just sat down, I couldn't help but yell, "Denied!" xd
Mother of All
I'm excited. She looks creepy and awesome. Also, this lady spend a significant amount of time just sitting around thinking up different types of monsters that could wreak havoc on humanity. How awesome is that! (I mean, awesome in the sense of that being a badass villain trait)
Misc.
The dragons were fun. It was pretty much what I expected from Supernatural. The dragons were legit and true to the lore, but they also had more of a nitty gritty characterization.
I really wanted one of the virgins to stab a dragon. After all the crap they went through, they deserved the satisfaction of being able to take that power into their own hands. Also, they had the perfect opportunity when Dean dropped the sword. Just sayin.
Dean and Bobby sucked at hiding secrets from Sam. I mean, I'm glad they did because I wanted Sam to know what was going on, but still. Throughout the whole episode, they would try to cover that they were hiding something and all I could do was look at my friend and say sarcastically, "Subtle."
I like that Sam isn't all angsty about the fact that Dean tried to hide soulless Sam drama from him. It would have sucked to have to deal with that for the rest of the year.
We finally got the hug we wanted back in episode 1! I remember a lot of people complaining about Sam and Dean's hug at the beginning of this season, saying it wasn't very heartfelt and Sam looked weird (keen observations, my friends). This hug was completely different. Sam was just glad to be alive and Dean was just glad to have his brother back, and it was all just beautiful!
Ok.... That's all I can think of right now.
OH! The other thing is . . . .
Favorite line from tonight's episode:
Dean: I’ve decided I’m going to give Stan my most precious gift.
Sam: Wow, that sounded really creepy coming out of your mouth.

Oh My CHUCK!!! I hadn't realised how much I missed the show until this episode. I spent so much of it just squeaking with total glee at the boys!
Sam:
OMG! SAMMY!!! He's back and we got an actual proper damn hug!!!!! Actual hug! Although, I'm not surprised that he dug around trying to find out wht had happened in his missing time and I'd be disappointed in him if he didn't feel at least a little bit guilty about what happened. It's so good to see old puppy!Sam back though. I've missed him. Also, the awkward not hugging Cas moment. Would have been really angry if Sam had got a Cas hug and Dean never did.
Dean:
Dean, sweetie, huni, baby... you're a moron. Of COURSE Sam would dig around and of course Sam would know that you and Bobby are lying to him! But all the same it was great to see the smile on his face every time Sam did something that Puppy!Sam would have done. And the bit with the sword in the stone!! I nearly fell off the sofa laughing because it was so melodramatic. Also, no matter what Sam says, Dean's still hilarious.
Bobby:
Poor Bobby, I get why he doesn't trust Sam, especially after what Robo!Sam tried to do. He had a good point, though, Dean should have told Dean sooner.
Cas:
He is SO mad at Dean! So mad! He almost never yells and then disappears, he usually just vanishes when he's angry. And when he gets really mad he beats Dean up. But this mad, where he yells and then can't bring himself to answer, he's beyond furious! He's so naive too1!!! So sweet and totally clueless sometimes, I still love that angel.
Dragons:
Disappointed that we didn't see and ACTUAL dragon. We just saw the men that they became. I liked them though.
Mother of All:
Isn't that basically, like, Mother Nature nearly? Or the opposite of her or something? Not sure what I think there to be honest.

But the airplane was a fail in the beginning, so I dunno if that would have been a good thing... Artificial Deanmination EDIT: I'm thinking Dean + Alcohol = Happy Dean. I thinking, alcohol = Dean's security blanket. Seriously though, wtf's with everyone pouring Dean a drink everytime he looks the slightest bit distressed? It's like "uh oh, Dean's upset. Where's the alcohol?!?!" Jensen must be sick of having to drink the nasty-tasting fake stuff by now LOL.

 Okay yay haven't done this in a while. So let's see what I can remember since I didnt write my review right after watching like usual.
In no particular order:
1. Omgosh it's so darn good to get our Sammy back. I missed him so much! crying crying I'm so glad Robo!Sam is gone! That cold steely look in his eye has disappeared.. Sammy's got his countenance back. And he's not harassing people as "FBI" anymore. He's sweet and sensitive. I love the way Dean smiled to himself after Sam kindly talked their way into questioning the girls sister. Also we got a proper hug between Sam and Dean... awwww I luv you Sam! heart
2. Wow he really didnt remember a thing though. I can understand why Dean was trying to hide it from him -- that whole impending wall cracking scenario-- but he had to tell him sometime. It wasnt right to lie to him. But it didnt matter because he found out anyway.
3. Gotta say that was really clever of Sam, calling Cas up and playing along until Cas pretty much filled in all the blanks for him. LOL speaking of which, mwaa Cas got shot down for a hug. rofl rofl That was really awkward. Sam sees him coming and sits down really fast *cracks up* Cas' face lol Odd though, Cas is willing to hug Sam but not Dean. Hmm whatever.
4. Bobby...guess you cant really blame him for being wary of Sam. Sam did try to kill him before. I hope he can eventually get pass that though. I know Sam will never stop apologizing to him if he knows about that.
5. We got CHEATED out of seeing a real dragon!! They LIED! I figured. But this way made it less as ridiculous I suppose . It would explain how they could blend in and exist all these years if they could morph into human form. So anyway the virgins were sacrifices then? And I dont know what is the deal with that whole 'Mother" thing they brought back from Purgatory but I just know it isn't gonna be good. Is she the Mother of all monsters? Is she gonna lead the impending battle... Monsters VS Humans..have them take over the world? More trouble's on the way gonk
6. LOLOLOL I cracked up when Dean was pulling the sword out of the rock. He's facial expressions along with the dramatic music playing was too hilarious. rofl And he used explosives but broke the darn sword. ROFL the lady looked so shocked ... Leave it to Dean rofl
7. Also, I'm dying to know the history behind Bobby and that woman.
8. Random Comments: First of all, that girl was freaking crazy if she got in a plane with her boyfriend when it's storming like a hurricane out there. I mean common sense would have avoided that. rolleyes
Second : hahah okay so when SPN first came on, all you could see was the zooming in shot of the plane with a girl in the passenger seat and a man driving in a tan jacket, right? So from really far away I really thought I was looking at CAS (because I thought the tan jacket was his trenchcoat) flying a plane with a girl in it I was like WHAT THE..... until they finally zoomed in and I was ohhhh rofl rofl rofl sweatdrop
As for next week: Noo I dont wanna see what Robo!Sam did. I'm sick of him,cant we just move on! sad *sighs* Well anyways, is Sam gonna start getting flashbacks of the past year I wonder?

THIS^ I dont get the thing with all the virgins girls. First I thought they were a sacrifice, but did they just need to find the right one to be Mother's vessel ? Because the Dragon!Dude told the one they used she was "lucky."
I'm really confused about that. I was thinking maybe they threw girls over the cliff until Mother expected the one she wanted but that doesnt make much sense either. confused

Maybe the "MOTHER" is going to make the other girls a bloody sandwich and eat them for power and what not. "LET'S GET STARTED" totally sounded like that Dean quote from OTHOAP.

I absolutely loved the hug. Your friends are right. In the season premiere, Sam really didnt hug Dean back, but kinda sat there with this odd smug grin on his face. It was seriously creepy.
But the hug this time round reminded me of the one in Lazarus's Rising. Very heartfelt. It made you go awwwwwww 4laugh
